I thought I finally found a good dealership. I at first was interested in a certain car. I made an appointment right when they opened the next day. I told him the car I was interested in & he (Lee) said th was interested in a certain car. I made an appointment right when they opened the next day. I told him the car I was interested in & he (Lee) said they just sold it yesterday. What, you couldn't call to tell me that before I drove an hour to see it? He showed me a few cars & I ended up buying one. I should have haggled the price a little because I ended up paying a little too much for it. The next day I had to take it back because the transmission screwed up. They said the trans fluid was too high, so they drained it & put the correct level in. It was fine until 4 days after that, not even a week since the purchase, & had to take it back again. By then I just wanted to exchange for something else. I was told it wouldn't be a problem. I went in to see Neil, and Lee said we were there for him, which wasn't true. I told Lee what was going on w/ the trans. He blamed me for it & said that I broke it!! I didn't even want to see this guy & now he's blaming me for something that's not my fault. I finally was able to talk to Neil, who was easier to talk to. He seemed way more friendly than Lee, who was pushy & tried to crack jokes all the time. I ended up having the transmission replaced at no cost & was even given a rental car for the week, which was pretty nice considering I didn't pay for it. Neil was way more understanding & helped us a lot, but Lee was not. I recommend the dealership overall, but Lee Greenfield, I wouldn't recommend. Stay away from Lee!!! My ratings are based on Lee, not Neil. More
Ms. Hooly always has a smile in her voice and on her face. She is patient with the autmobile challenged, such as myself.Ms. Holly always explains things so even I can understand them. Purchased a used Nissan Titan. So far it has been an excellent choice for my needs. I only receive one key at purchased which I promptly locked in the vehicle. Kudos to Cecil Kreemer for going beyond excellent choice for my needs. I only receive one key at purchased which I promptly locked in the vehicle. This has been the best overall experience of any new vehicle buy in my life. A GREAT dealership with GREAT people. This is a very good dealership because of their excellent service and polite, knowledgeable folks. It's easy to get an appointment or re-schedule one for car service. I've also found the service guys more th service and polite, knowledgeable folks. It's easy to get an appointment or re-schedule one for car service. I've also found the service guys more than willing to explain problems that come up such as a noise I couldn't pinpoint when driving over 35 mph. It turned out to be due to tire "cupping" and I was shown the culprit in the tread which I'd never have spotted on my own. They also tell the truth which in this case involved the fact that the Prius is a very heavy car for a small sedan, due to all those batteries - and that I shouldn't expect the tires to last as long as with other cars of the same size. All the staff are very professional and courteous. From the moment we stepped back onto the lot (repeat customer), we were greeted and assisted, not your usual pushy salesmanship experience. All were will the moment we stepped back onto the lot (repeat customer), we were greeted and assisted, not your usual pushy salesmanship experience. All were willing to workout a price we could all be happy with, especially me--even over the phone. Upon agreement, came back to the dealership and finalized the deal. Gary Simmons was the salesman and each time I return to the dealership for service/parts, he always remembers me and takes the time to say hello, and sends out email reminders for servicing--a true gentleman. As for the service department, Holly is a gem and doesn't try to sell me on unnecessary service--just the facts. As for the parts department, Lee Hollingsworth is fantastic--goes the next step to ensure he can provide you the right part(s) at the best price--very competitive in parts pricing. For the Hampton Roads area, this is the only Toyota dealership I am willing to work with. Tried out others and felt taken advantage of, just another number to them. Willing to pay the toll fee to Gloucester each time, worth the price for great service! More

I will say, when buying a vehicle it can be a grueling experience. I was however treated well the whole time that I was at this dealership, but once it came to making the deal, they don't budge. I even experience. I was however treated well the whole time that I was at this dealership, but once it came to making the deal, they don't budge. I even had the sales person call me up two days later and ask if I could pay the difference in cash in 30 days time (they wouldn't budge on $1200.00). I received two phone calls back to back the same day basically begging for me to come up with a solution! Here's the solution: DROP THE PRICE OF THE CAR IF YOU WANT TO SELL IT! Furthermore, when at the dealership the sales manager asked me if I could put the "difference of opinion" on a credit card?? seriously?? Are you trying to put people in debt? I mean come on...in this economy? The key to repeat customers and good customer service is negotiation. I have been to several competitiors since and had them come down on the price of the vehicle; some even offering it at invoice (despite its popularity due to the gas hike). So this isn't an issue with supply and demand, or I wouldn't have received two calls two days later trying to get me to complete the purchase. I was upset that I couldn't seal the deal because Mr. Chaney was very informative about the Toyota Prius that I drove, they simply just couldn't deliver. Basically, a wasted hour trip both ways... Buyer beware. More
I could not close the deal on my most recent purchase and it is too bad. I've bought a brand new car from this dealership and referred two family members (who also bought cars) and this dealership would not it is too bad. I've bought a brand new car from this dealership and referred two family members (who also bought cars) and this dealership would not match (or even come close) to the price of a car at another dealership. I expect more when I am a return customer but I felt I was treated like any other person walking into the dealership except (thankfully) they did not yo-yo me around for the whole day. I do like this dealership but I will not do business when they are $1,000 different in price on a vehicle they have in stock. Come on Gloucester Toyota...at least match an offer or come closer than $1,000. People want to have return business with you but if you cost more than everyone else, it is not worth it. More
