The sales manger is a total jackass. Don't even waste your time there. Even though they offered me a pretty good deal, I walked away because I didn't want to deal with that sales manager. If you want to your time there. Even though they offered me a pretty good deal, I walked away because I didn't want to deal with that sales manager. If you want to be treated rudely, go here. I personally like to be treated with respect so I'm taking my business somewhere else. More
I recently went to Global to look for a used truck. I was very clear with the salesman on the terms of the contract that I was looking for; 60 months, no more than $415 per month. I found a Chevy Avalan was very clear with the salesman on the terms of the contract that I was looking for; 60 months, no more than $415 per month. I found a Chevy Avalanche that I really liked, and after working with the sales manager, they said they could work something out. I gave them a $2000 deposit, set an appointment to sign the papers, and took the truck home. I repeatedly asked for the terms of the months and amount to be put into writing. The said they could not do that because it would make it a legal contract. Though they would not put the payment & term agreement in writing, they verified that if the terms changed from what we agreed upon, I would receive my deposit back. When I returned, the finance manager pulled out paperwork for 72 months at $455. I explained that this was not what we had agreed to as I did not want to go over $415. He said that I sounded very clear about what the terms were and he wanted to see who made a mistake. He left the room and returned with the sales manger who had previously refused to put the deal in writing. At this point, he accused me of trying to "pull a quick one" on him and said that they would have never agreed to those terms; I must be lying. I told him I didn't want the truck at those terms and simply asked for my deposit back. He said that the deposit was non-refundable because I knew of the terms. He also said that the owner was a lawyer and I would not see my money. He used profanity towards me and was extremely hostile. The situation was not handled in a professional manner; the man was literally trying to use intimidation and extortion to force the deal upon me. Finally, the man agreed to call the other manager to verify the terms of the deal. On speaker phone, the used car mangers verified that the term was 60 months and the payment was 415. The sales manager then said, "the deals done, I will give you your money back." Long story short, the man behind the glass crossed a line; he really thought I was trying to get over. I understand his frustration in these hard times; however, there is something called professionalism, which this guy completely lacked. Do yourself a favor, drive ten minutes in either directions and buy anywhere else than this place More
I did my homework. I checked with Carsdirect.com and other dealers. Some did not even know their own cars! I knew what a good price was and what my magic number was. Both Jason and Ed (manager) were other dealers. Some did not even know their own cars! I knew what a good price was and what my magic number was. Both Jason and Ed (manager) were professional and courteous. The bottom line was that I got the lowest straight real “Out The Door Price” ( lower than Carsdirect.com) and got a fair price for my trade! When I went back to finish the paperwork the F&I man showed me what “ADD ONS” were available. All I wanted was the Hyundai 100,000 mile bumper-to-bumper extended warranty. I knew what the right price was and got it. No pressure or scare tactics. I anticipate future dealer service to be just as favorable experience. P.S. I even got a $50 Bird Dog because a friend bought a car also More
This is another one of those car dealers that jacks up the prices of the extra dealer add-ons (which they don't list or mention on their website). They wanted $995 for pin-striping!!! You could buy a pin- the prices of the extra dealer add-ons (which they don't list or mention on their website). They wanted $995 for pin-striping!!! You could buy a pin-striping kit from Walmart for $50 and have it done by a pro for about $100! This is how they pad their pockets. Yes, every business is entitled to make a profit, for sure. But this is the fleecing of America when dealers make nearly 1,000% profit on something that other reputable dealerships charge NOTHING for. That's right. Not everyone charges for it. Just those trying to pad their pockets. I bought a Tiburon at Lester Glenn last night and they don't charge for it. And when I asked them to remove it (didn't like it), the salesman gladly peeled it off in front of me (with no damage to the paint...trust me, I was checking!). Check out carbuyingtips[dot]com and fightingchance[dot]com before buying a car. Learn everything beforehand and go in with your Edmunds pricing to get the best deals. And avoid Global. It's funny, I drove an hour south to buy a car and Global is 10 seconds from my home. More
i bought a used 2001 pt cruiser with approx 2000 miles on it on a 4th of july weekend. i gave them all of my personal information ,they ran credit check, etc. dealt with a new or inexperienced salesman since it on a 4th of july weekend. i gave them all of my personal information ,they ran credit check, etc. dealt with a new or inexperienced salesman since nobody was willing to help like most dealerships (vultures follow you) and the assistance of asst manager or he was floor manager. either way that manager is the scumbag. he said yeah yeah since your buying chrysler i can probably get you their financing since its practically brand new with little miles blah blah blah. so i gave 500.00 deposit and they told me drive it home. so monday or tuesday my wife and i had to go sign paperwork and the as*holes tried sneaking in 18% or some crazy amount. i threw they keys across the desk at the finance guy told him keep the damn car and give me back my deposit. this is like 7pm after we got out of work. so he got on the phone with (supposedly) the finance company and then lowered the interest rate a little bit. still not to my liking but my talked me into it since i've always like the body style etc. after the flood in april in NJ i lost the new cars we had and insurance company paid off most of the car loans but guess what when i bought my used dodge durango i didnt go back to those scam artists. they are so misleading and sneaky that you just cant trust anything that they're telling you. they will say anything to get you to sign that paperwork. then they can care less. guess what read all of that fine print about gap insurance to. you think that they will pay off anything your insurance company doesnt. or so the salesman will tell you. yeah right. they will try to get you to buy upgrades like stereo or alarms etc for extra 5-10 per month . add that up on a 60 month term people. i just stood there and laughed at them. goto walmart buy your own alarm or save 10 week untill you can get a professional installation on your own. I would never use them again or ever send a friend there. GLOBAL AUTO MALL in N.PLAINFIELD is where i bought my car just so know. never again. More
I had recently gone there for buying a hyundai Entourage. I was given an internet price which was attractive. I went and saw the vehicle. I said that I would prefer another color and I was told that they will look for one and contact me the next day. I was told that I need to finalise the next day without fail or else I woluld not be able to the manufacturer discount. So the next day, I went over there with my cheque to finalise the deal. I was made to wait for more than 40 minutes as the sales person was with someone else. do keep in mind that all other sales person were not dealing with anyone but just chatting with each other. Anyway, I was told that the vehicle that was shown to me the previous day was not the one that was quoted and the one that I saw would cost me $2000 more. So I asked whether I can then see the one that I was quoted for so that I can purchase that. The salesperson was just avoiding the question and I realised that they are just trying to rip me off and so I asked whether they can reduce the price on the one that I saw. But they did not seem too to do the deal as they just reduced $200. I do not know why they have that dealership open if they do not like to sell their cars. I feel they lure people with good quotes and then try to rip them off .. More
This was a big waste of time. Mike called me back to cake a deal but they never even bothered to make a counter offer. A big talker with no follow through. Skip them! a deal but they never even bothered to make a counter offer. A big talker with no follow through. Skip them! More
I bought a new Hyundai Azera here several months ago. I was referred to this dealer through COSTCO, but contrary to the COSTCO instructions, they handled me as a traditional 'up" for the saleperson, and I was referred to this dealer through COSTCO, but contrary to the COSTCO instructions, they handled me as a traditional 'up" for the saleperson, and I had to insist on seeing the COSTCO price and the manufacturer's invoice during negotiations. I got a very good price, but I had to really work for it. When it came down to a $2000 difference, they shopped my trade (a clean Saturn with a lot of features) to other dealers and gave me a very good trade in price. I suspect that they arranged for the Saturn dealer a block away to take it instead of going though a wholesaler. I shopped at Towne Hyundai first, and saved almost $10,000. See my review of Towne for details. This dealer is owned by a lawyer, and has at least twice the paperwork I have experienced at any other dealer. It took two hours after I agreed to buy the car to leave the dealer. Global is a high volume "system sale" dealer, where they use high pressure tactics to try to extract every penny they can from you at every stage in the process, so I would not recommend them to anyone who was not thoroughly prepared. They have a very ugly plastic dealer badge--be sure to tell them not to put it on your car! They put inordinate and I thought inappropriate pressure on me to rate them highly when I was surveyed by Hyundai. The sales manager, the salesman, and a woman who called on the phone after the sale all described the survey and asked me to give them the highest rating in every category, and to call them if there was any reason I thought I could not do that.
