I am looking for a used Chrysler 300 and saw the dealer had one that I liked. I called first to see if it was available and spoke with Robinson, who advised it was. I told him I would be coming to look at it in the afternoon. The dealership was further away from my home than I thought, so it took a little longer to get there. While about 5 minutes away, Robinson called my home again. My son was home and called me on my cell and I told him to tell him we would be there momentarily. When we arrived another salemen asked if he could help us, and I said we were looking for Robinson - he sort of made a smirky smile and pointed him out to us. He was somewhat busy with another customer. When he was free I introduced myself and he said he needed a few minutes to get the car, which was in the back. After waiting for a few minutes, the salesman who asked us if we wanted help (I don't remember his name) came over and told me he would be helping us (and Robinson) and that the owner's daughter had the car as a demo, but she lived up the hill and they would contact her to bring the car in. After several minutes later, this same salesman came to us and said the owners daughter was somewhere else in the state. I looked at him and asked if this was a joke, he didn't answer. He never said he was sorry or that there was a mix-up - nothing. We turned and walked away. The fact that I called ahead and was told the car was there is either a lie or a somewhat diseptive practice for getting people to come to the dealer. But THE must upsetting part of this bad experience is the salesman who seemed not to care at all. More
I purchased my car in the beginning of this year. This is my first service visit - oil change. Mr. Tom Nesbitt was very nice and helpful. The guys in the service dept were nice and courteous. Thsy even noticed that I had a brake light out and replaced it. They provided a shuttle ride home because I could not wait while the car was being services. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and Service Deppartment starting with Tom Nesbit, who is very friendly and knowledgable. In my opinion I rate the overall experience high. I took advantage of a discount coupon for a necessary oil change. Greg suggested I add a tire rotation, and I realized that it was time for that, too. My service took somewhat longer than I expected, but in fairness I asked that had something that had malfunctioned (but wasn't at that time) to be checked. This most recent automobile transaction was my 5th purchase over the course of my life. The previous 4 experiences ranged from mediocre to just OK. In between the actual purchases, I probably visited purchase over the course of my life. The previous 4 experiences ranged from mediocre to just OK. In between the actual purchases, I probably visited 3-4 dealerships for each time period that I was searching for a new vehicle. Every single one of those experiences always reminded me of how much I despised car shopping and working with "salesmen." This is no exaggeration. My experience at Global Auto Mall was completely different. I expected the same treatment that I was dealt in years past, but that is not what I received. To my surprise and delight, no one spoke to me as though I was just another "no car knowledge female." My Global representative, Mr. Kelvin Pitt, showed more respect to me as a customer and consumer. He didn't make assumptions about what I did and did not know; he simply asked me what I wanted and what features & details were most important to me (i.e. price, style & model, size, payment plan, etc.). I appreciated this kind of reception as a value-conscious consumer who cares how her money is spent. He didn't rush me; he answered all my questions; and most importantly, he paid attention to what I said was most important to me. Within an hour or less, I had decided that I was going to do business with Kelvin at this dealership. I felt confident and comfortable enough that I could trust the way he conducted business. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. I am telling friends, family and coworkers to go to Global Auto if they are ready to buy a car, or just shopping around. I would definitely buy another car from Global; and I hope Kelvin will still be there!!! Terri Brazil More
