The sales person Tom was some what nice at first, but during us talking about numbers, he literally laughed in my face when I told him the vehicle was over priced. They ended up selling me a car that wasn't fully checked out by their service department and has a bad shake in the steering wheel when going 40mph+ along with a number of other issues. Everytime I focused on something that looked off and I wanted to know more about, I was treated poorly and given the line "we can't do anything about that, do you want to buy it or not?" The guy with the long hair who is always out front vaping, was quite nice. But when it came time to sign papers, the finance manager (different Tom? I can't remember his name) was very difficult to do business with. Seemed like he had an attitude about questions while signing and it was obvious he was trying to rushed me by all the huffing and puffing he did (breathing out heavily). I felt rushed and it was clear to me, Tom didn't care about me, my car, or my business. I will be writing a Google review on my experience. More
Disappointed in service quality attention to detail. Had drivers door lock replaced, and door panel and door window controls cover was not reattached correctly (comes loose). Also asked them to check possible transmission fluid leak from fill line-it was leaking in reverse gear leaving a visible drip trail BEFORE I had them check. They said they couldn’t find anything, it was probably a result of “overfilling”. I had to fill it when first discovered the leak because ifill reservoir was almost empty. I don’t think they really checked. Also were curt with my wife when he asked to have second key reprogrammed when she went to pick up vehicle. Told her they would have done it if they key was brought in initially but it would take too long now. Note that I previously reprogrammed myself in about 5 minutes. Also missed 2 email communications which caused about 3 week delay in getting the work done. More
I messed up the day I scheduled an oil change but I was fit in anyway. I really really appreciate the service and I will continue to use Gilchrist for my services. One issue I did have is my car was parked fit in anyway. I really really appreciate the service and I will continue to use Gilchrist for my services. One issue I did have is my car was parked out front after a while. I tried to be patient and let 30 min pass before I asked about it and I was told it was still being worked on. I watched someone match my keyset to the car tag and suddenly it was ready. That was a little frustrating and I hope communication is a focus for the team in 2023. More
First time i brought my car to you, you said my battery was fine and charged me $165.00, the a few weeks later you said the battery cost to replace 800.00. Not sure if the problem was fixed— sunroof appears to still be leaking after $950 repair. Impossible to get a call back from the service counter person— after multiple calls and voicemails and texts. Your service representative Susan was great. She kept me well informed while, waiting the two months for the transmission to arrive & scheduling the service appoint when, all the required parts She kept me well informed while, waiting the two months for the transmission to arrive & scheduling the service appoint when, all the required parts arrived. I payed $110.34 prior to ordering my transmission. When I picked up my vehicle, I was asked to pay the $110.34 again. I challenged this double charge. The clerk had to call billing inorder to verify my challenge was correct/ justified. If I forgot or my wife picked up the vehicle, you would have charged me the 110.34 twice. Is this common practice? It made me suspicious. Additionally, I was asked to pay for a $600 transmission flush as part of the transmission troubleshooting procedure. I refused based on on my extended warranty. Again, this made me suspious. Finally, the cover to my rear seat heater/ air conditioner vent was left on the floor in the back seat of my truck.I don't understand why this was removed. I watched a you tube video & reinstalled it myself. So far, my transmission shifts fine and no longer shakes the whole vehicle while driving down the road. Post Srcipt: I was told my new transmission has a 3 year 100K warranty. I didn't see the warranty mentioned on the paperwork given to me when I picked up my truck. Is this true? More
