That last tank of gas I referenced took me 520 miles the gas light did not come on, I had a supposed 47 miles to go before empty. If I continued on with just under half the stated miles left before empty, to another 20 miles, that would have put my total mileage at 540 miles on a tank of gas. No need to take matters that far.
