We sincerely apologize for any confusion caused by us providing service for purchasing your tags out of state. This is a service we are able to provide however each state operates differently. In your home state of Alabama we paid and charged you for state tax, title and registration. There was an error which resulted in an overcharge which was refunded to you. The state of Alabama still requires the purchaser to appear and sign in front of the probate judge and at that time they accessed county tax, licenses and an issue fee totaling $156.31. Unfortunately we are not able to determine these fees ahead of time to include at time of purchase. We hope that this explanation better explains the fees you were charged.
