Great first time buyer experience!!! I had called to look for a new car and discussed my credit situation. Matt was great at listening to my situation and eager to help me find a car. He had my children, husband, and myself laughing and smiling from ear to ear during the test drive. He worked diligently on the financial negotiation with us. I felt as though he really was looking out for my family....not just a car salesman. Mike Johnson did my loan and was delightful too. Such a wonderful and painless experience! More
LADIES - where you should buy your Kia!!! If you’re looking to buy a Kia, I highly recommend going to Gerald Kia in North Aurora. I delayed my car purchase for months, because like most folks, If you’re looking to buy a Kia, I highly recommend going to Gerald Kia in North Aurora. I delayed my car purchase for months, because like most folks, especially women, I dreaded the process. If I had just started the process with Gerald Kia in North Aurora I would have saved myself a whole lot of trouble. I did most of my negotiating via email with Jim Whitgrove, a sales manager. He was straightforward, no nonsense, and just plain nice. From the first time I spoke to him on the phone my gut said here’s a simple down to earth kind of person. When I emailed the details for what I was looking for, he responded quickly and in the format that I requested unlike most other dealerships I contacted. And he was the only dealer to ask what city I was coming from to ensure that he gave me an accurate tax amount. And lastly, even though he didn’t have the lowest bid I noticed that the other dealers had included a rebate that he had not. He explained that this rebate was only available if I agreed to Kia financing. He said that if I wanted to use them for financing he could offer that as well. How refreshing! Instead of including items in his bid that could have made him look more competitive, he opted to be straightforward and only offer a price that he knew he could stand by. How could I not buy from this guy? Given all the other great reviews and service I received so far, I hoped that the actual purchase would be simple too. And it was. Jim set me up with a sales rep named Dan Rudnicki. It took about four hours to do all the paperwork, the trade-in, the financing, and the walk through of the car. And Dan stayed with me through the whole time. No running off to close another deal. He even spent practically an hour showing me how to use all the fancy technology equipped in my new Kia Soul. He was so sweet and encouraging about it. So it went seamlessly, except for one hiccup. The remote start I wanted wasn’t in stock and Jim didn’t know it at the time when we finalized the deal. But he located one, got it in the dealership, and installed it the same day. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to wait. I needed to head back. Jim and Dan arranged for a loaner car so I could use for the day. And Dan was so great he offered to drive down and deliver my new car and then just drive back with the loaner. This was a HUGE help given that the dealership is almost one and half hours away in traffic from my house. But Dan did this without complaint on Halloween Day. How amazing is that! Bottom line, Jim and Dan are nice guys. They treat people like human beings. They don’t make you feel stupid or small, like I had other dealers. Or try to take advantage of me being a woman, to line their pockets. They both genuinely wanted me to be happy with my purchase. And they still even answer questions via emails even after I bought the car. So everybody, especially ladies wanting a good car experience, buy your Kia from Gerald Kia of North Aurora. It was totally worth the one and half hour drive. I’d do it all over again. More
New 2015 KIA SOUL + "Primo Package" purchase This is my 1st new car in 20 years. In the latter years I have purchased vehicles domestic and non domestic from many dealerships in the Chicago land This is my 1st new car in 20 years. In the latter years I have purchased vehicles domestic and non domestic from many dealerships in the Chicago land arena. Usually these vehicles were 1-3 years old, with very low mileage. Prior to that when I did buy new vehicles on a regular basis; GM and JEEP. I honestly would walk away after each purchase not feeling confident although I did a lot of research. Until then, in my overall 45 years of auto purchase, this purchase of a new KIA Soul was the best experience I have ever had. I believe it has a lot to due with "Customer satisfaction & customer approval" My sales consultant Dan Rudnicki, walked me through everything over a course of two days; as I was having a service repair done on my 2011 KIA Soul. Dan was very Courteous, friendly, and really took the time to explain everything in detail in "Layman's terminology". Next was Mike Johnson, the finance manager. Both Mike and Dan were able to not only find me the package I wanted, but also the color (very important); when no such vehicle was on their property. I understand networking, but Mike really did "One helluva job"! Mike also got me the best financial rate that fit my needs. Lastly I want to touch briefly on the service personnel, Jaime and Eugene Strammel (Service Manager). These tow men alone do one bang up job, and probably don't get much credit for all they do. They are directly responsible for steering me to Dan and Mike, because of their great service, friendliness and attitude, every time I brought in my previous KIA Soul. These men at Gerald KIA, North Aurora, really set the bar high for customer satisfaction. On a scale 1-10, 10 being highest, I'd give them all a 20! Very friendly, very fair When you go to a car dealership, usually the experience is very intimidating and you leave feeling like you did not get the best deal you could of and When you go to a car dealership, usually the experience is very intimidating and you leave feeling like you did not get the best deal you could of and the sales person only cared about his commission; the complete opposite was experienced at Gerald Kia. Being a first time car buyer I know absolutely nothing about buying a car, how to make a good deal on a car, nothing but Quentin and the sales manager really took the time to help me through the process and assured me I was getting the best deal. Also being a first time car buyer I have a first time car buyer budget and they were willing to meet where I wanted to be as far as monthly payment and getting the most I can get with my money's worth. I would definitely tell people if you want to buy a Kia, Subaru, or Hyundai go to Gerald Kia!! More
