They were completely understanding and totally friendly. Everyone joked around like we were friends instead of customers. They did call and email to check on us but never pushed to come in. I felt as though it was just to check how we were doing more than it was a push to come in as other dealerships did. They even matched other prices. I have never had such a quick easy friendly experience. Jason totally understood my needs and didn't try to push for something more expensive or more fancy. He sat and explained everything in my car and made sure I was happy before I left. More

Working with him was such a great experience, he really knows his stuff! I walked out with a 2017 Kia Sportage that has every feature I wanted and stayed within the my budget. His goal was to make me happy and he suceeded beyond his wildest dreams. I highly recommend Ed and Gerald Kia in North Aurora. I am a Kia fan for life!! More
Horribly dishonest I have purchase 3 new cars in the last five years and thought the days of dishonest and manipulative dealerships were a thing of the past. That was un I have purchase 3 new cars in the last five years and thought the days of dishonest and manipulative dealerships were a thing of the past. That was until my interactions with Gerald Kia of North Aurora last night. The dishonesty and manipulation was systematic and coordinated. It began with the initial phone call where the sales manager told me that they had a red 2016 Sportage on the lot. I later found out that Kia does not even make the 2016 Sportage in red. However, according to Joe, they had cherry red as well as a Merlot color. I had done a fair bit of homework, getting a specific quote paired with an actual VIN from truecar,com so I was prepared to get the vehicle in a no haggle manner. Upon arriving, I was presented with a "Black Cherry" Sportage for test drive. Make no mistake...Black Cherry is undeniable Black. We stated that we would test drive the black car while Joe scoured the planet for an actual red sportage (which does not exist). The test drive was fine. We proceeded with negotiations on a silver sportage and the typical old school dealership, back and forth negotiations ensued. It was anything but the no haggle experience as described by truecar.com. They started with a $2000 higher base price then I was quoted online. They also pulled out all the old tricks trying to tack $1500 costs for the plastic door protector strips and wheel locks that "are extras already installed". During the negotiations, an ancillary sales person assured me that he had only seen a red 2016 Sportage in very rare circumstances and only at the highest trim levels and that Kia does not even advertise that they manufacture that color. Finally, I dealt with the sales manager himself and went through line item detail for the online quote I received. He acquiesced in an exasperated manner completely incredulous at the unheard of deal I was getting. Then the usual attempts at up sells of interior and exterior coatings for a mere $2500. Then of course there was financing. Prior to going to the dealership, I was assured I could get the 72 month, %1.9 financing AND all the available rebates. The sales manager attempted to claim that it was financing OR the rebates. When challenged he finally admitted that the financing was available with a no Kia motors financier enabling both the rate and rebates. Then I was passed to the finance guy who wanted to sell me the extended bumper to bumper warrantee for $1800. When I declined I was characterized as a wreckless risk taker. In all, it was a fun and tiring experience. If you go to this dealership, lured by favorable online quotes, be prepared with detailed quote info and be ready to challenge them at every step of the process. Although the dealership closed at 9, Ed and Brian stayed patient with me and were all about making my experience the best one!!!! We did not close our deal until almost 11 P.M. We didn't feel pressured here like we did at other dealers and the entire staff was incredible. Ed answered all of our questions and we felt well informed when we made our purchase . I wont hesitate to buy here again. Ed has been wonderful at following up and making sure we're happy and has made himself accessible if we have any questions. The most comfortable car buying experience out there in my opinion. Great staff. More
True Car Dealer ? Great Price anyway! We had done our research and used True Car as leverage as this Dealer was stated on the site to honor these prices. First, I will have to say the Sales Consultant Micheal Cabalero was knowledgeable and professional however when they state things like No-Haggle ... Don't believe this. They didn't want to honor the true car price by saying the incentives are not included so the True Car price is higher. Well, in the terms and conditions it was clear this was not true and when I showed them and spoke about contacting the True Car assistant they changed the price by admitting a so called error. Then, we had a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am trade in that if I had to do it over again, I would have donated the car and got more value by listing as a write off on my taxes. Oh well, my fault for that one. If you have an older car, do not trade it in at this dealer. Dempsey Dodge was the most fair at offering a reasonable value and were the most casual and friendly ... wish they sold KIA's. The finance guy was a bit pushy on the extras but that was expected. Remember the extras are overpriced, but who am I to tell you not to get them? Do the research first and see all the facts! All I have to say is come armed with words of facts and read terms before you sign and get the best deal. Don't get mad, upset; just use words to negotiate as it's hard to argue with facts and research. Hope this helps someone. I did end up getting a great price but would have paid $2500 more if I didn't do my research and spoke up. I wouldn't say absolutely don't go, but just be ready for an old fashioned "Used Car Salesman" approach! More
