This is an UNBELIEVABLE Dealership. Staff is smiling, courteous, helpful and very professional. I had a great experience with their Manager, their salesman and the Financial Manager w Staff is smiling, courteous, helpful and very professional. I had a great experience with their Manager, their salesman and the Financial Manager who explains in details. The place is upscale and they have the latest technology. I highly recommend this dealership for your needs either you lease or buy a car. The BEST MANAGER: Matthew Siudy, the BEST FINANCIAL MANAGER: Ken Slynn. My salesperson was Tom Mandavi . Great job all of you! More
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! ! Absolutely the worst car buying experience I have ever had. I went there to trade in my GV70 (which was not purchased here) for a GV80 or a GV80 Cou ! Absolutely the worst car buying experience I have ever had. I went there to trade in my GV70 (which was not purchased here) for a GV80 or a GV80 Coupe. As we were negotiating and only $2000 apart from a deal the salesperson had the general manager come into the room. MATT SIUDY is a very poor representation of Genesis for this company. I have never been treated in this way before at any other dealership, I have owned many luxury brand vehicles including BMW, Porshe, and Hummers H1. With being only $2000 apart MATT SIUDY entered the room and sat down in front of me with the paper in his had that the salesperson and myself had been working numbers out. Matt literally threatened if I did not buy from them I would not be able to service my vehicle there nor would I receive a loaner when it was in service (which if MATT SUIDY was intelligent enough he would realize the contradiction that if he refused to let me have it service there then why would I have a need for a loaner car???) He then wadded up the paper, slammed it on the desk, spun around in the chair with his back to me and said to get out we are finished here. MATT SIUDY is too old to behave this immature and in such an unprofessional manner. I do have to say the salesperson Shane was much more professional than his manager and enthusiastic about the product he sells. Another dealership should snatch Shane up or have him replace MATT SIUDY. On a side note: I had my GV70 in the service department here which is why I had started looking at the newer models. It was for an AC leak. After the way MATT SIUDY threatened if I did not buy a vehicle from them I could not use their service department, I had become concerned he may sabotage the vehicle I had there. If they had not already started on it, I would have preferred to pick it up and leave. With that being the case when I picked up my vehicle two days later and drove it off the service lot i parked and opened the hood. They left the cap off the coolant and sitting beside it in the engine. Sabotage or angry MATT SIUDY directing them to do it - who knows. But one thing MATT SIUDY is correct about - I will not be using their service department again. Sometimes things just happen for a reason. After MATT SIUDY did his threat if I did not purchase from them, it led me to a GREAT experience with Genesis of Austin. I had been looking for the new bering blue color GV80 coupe. Negotiating with trade in of the GV70 (just from pics and vin number) took all of ten minutes. I went to lunch while they got the GV80 coupe ready and drove it home. All they asked is for me to bring them the GV70 the next day. They were so kind when I told them of the horrible experience with MATT SIUDY they apologized for Genesis having a manager that represented the brand in such an unprofessional manner. Unfortunately, I am not the first review of being threatened by MATT SIUDY. Just do your homework and look around at other sites for his same threat. Thats not how you close a deal MATT SIUDY. You could learn from your own salesperson Shane. Also expect MATT SIUDY to do his typical response and blame me or say he never heard of me just like his other negative reviews he responded to in the past. More
Had it not been for the salesman and the finance process, I would have given the dealership a one star rating. While the sales and finance processes went very smoothly, the service department lost the sale. I would have given the dealership a one star rating. While the sales and finance processes went very smoothly, the service department lost the sale. I went to the dealership to purchase a pre-owned BMW X3 and when I arrived, I was greeted by Shane, the salesman who took very good care of me. He showed me the car, took me for a test drive, and explained to me that during the dealership's inspection process, a small leak in the radiator was found. I was told that a new radiator had been ordered and that the repairs would be completed "in a few days". I agreed to purchase the car and proceeded to complete the finance documents. All of this went smoothly. A week passed and I had not heard anything about when the car would be ready for delivery, so I called Shane and inquired as to when I would be able to take possession of the car. Shane said he would check and he called me in about 15 minutes, only to tell me that the service department had found that the mass airflow sensor required replacement. I was told that the part had been ordered and that it would be repaired "in a few days". Another week passed and I was now getting aggravated at the delay in having the car readied for delivery. I called Shane again, and again was told that he would have to check with the service department. This was on a Wednesday and I told Shane that if the car wasn't ready by Friday, I would be backing out of the purchase. Shane called on Friday, only to tell me that now the air conditioning compressor needed to be replaced. At this time I told Shane that I no longer wanted the car and that I was going to unwind the purchase. I went to the dealership the following Monday and had the finance department unwind the purchase. The car I wanted to purchase appeared to be in very good condition and it drove perfectly but unfortunately, the service department was unable to get their act together and never made an effort to communicate with me. It doesn't speak well for the service department when, during their initial vehicle inspection, they couldn't find all of the issues that were wrong with the car. I can't imagine what else is wrong with it, and I really think I dodged a bullet with this failed purchase experience. Because of lack of communication from the service department and the fact that I had to call on numerous occasions to ascertain the status of the car, I can't and won't recommend Genesis of Northwest San Antonio (a Red McCombs dealership), especially if someone is looking for a pre-owned vehicle.
