I was looking for THE truck for my wife and I. I had joined a Facebook group (No Mark Up Toyota) in hopes of finding my truck at MSRP or at least close to it. He responded the quickest and was the ONLY one that followed through and “stayed with it” (but w/out the feel of a high pressure sale - although those unsolicited pictures of the truck sitting on the lot were a bit underhanded - lol). However, Gene Messer Toyota was 1400 miles from me. I did my research and found the allocations posted on Reddit. There were literally just a handful of trucks that met my criteria. Of the ones that weren’t pre-sold, only Gene Messer Toyota was selling without a “market adjustment” (and buyers will remember this for years to come). They had a unicorn… I knew it, and they knew it. But, they didn’t try to take advantage and gouge me (which speaks volumes about their business). They matched the trade-in the local dealer had offered. Unfortunately, I was unable to find my title so decided to just purchase outright and sell my trade privately. Yes, I flew from NC to TX to pick up THE truck I wanted. Brandon picked me up at the airport (in MY truck!) and we completed the sale effortlessly. Josh, in Finance, went over the available warranty options without any pressure. The sale was completely in a timely manner and then I drove 1400 miles back home... smiling the whole way! My wife and I are absolutely thrilled that we made the decision to purchase from Gene Messer Toyota! More
