I would like to take a moment to share my feedback on one of the most positive experiences that I have ever had purchasing a new vehicle. Upon contacting Gates Honda in response to an online sales add, I was of the most positive experiences that I have ever had purchasing a new vehicle. Upon contacting Gates Honda in response to an online sales add, I was introduced to a sales rep named Dom Eubanks. From the time Dom first introduced himself over the phone, there was an air of “no nonsense” professionalism about him. He was very honest, straight forward and genuinely interested in answering any of my questions about the vehicle. When I told him that I was definitely interested in negotiating a serious offer on the vehicle and that I would be driving from Knoxville, TN, he immediately offered to discuss all of the details and particulars of the purchase and then draft up a proposal to email to me so that I would have an offer in writing. I didn’t even have to ask for this! The negotiation was very straight forward with everything itemized and transparent. Dom also showed exceptional attention to detail during the business transaction, insuring that all aspects of the agreement, method of payment, etc. were thoroughly covered and agreeable to both parties. I also found Dom to be very organized and prompt with the exchange of information and required paperwork. He had me prefill out and submit the majority of the forms needed so that he could be getting the ball rolling on the paperwork while I commuted to Richmond to sign everything in person. I brought my wife and three small children with me to pick up our new Honda Odyssey and finalize the transaction. There were no surprises. Everything was as discussed and all of the paperwork was ready to complete, mostly just requiring signatures. I would also like to give my highest regards to Brian McMahan in their finance department. Brian had all of the paperwork on his end ready to sign and once again, everything was exactly as discussed with no hidden surprises. Every person that we interacted with was warm, professional and sharp. It was not the fake smile, grip and grin sales force that I had encountered at so many other dealerships. These folks were genuine and serious about customer service and ensuring a quality product and experience. In closing, I would add that every sales rep gets to be the “face of the company” with each customer that they interact with. That can be very good or very bad for the company. The reason that I ended up driving three hours out of state to purchase my new vehicle was 100% due to the highest professional standards that I have ever encountered in my car buying experience by Dom Eubanks. From his excellent communication within his organization and with his customer he exhibited service above and beyond the highest level of customer service. He even offered to meet on his day off if we had any issues or questions about our new vehicle while we were still in town. I am a 21 year military veteran and have had the privilege of working with some of the highest levels of professionals in my career. I would place Dom Eubanks in that category and would recommend him to any future car buyer or employer who is looking for the highest professional standards. If you are looking to buy a new vehicle and are sick of the sales games, high pressure tactics, lack of transparency and feeling like a number, you should go to Gates Honda in Richmond KY and ask for Dom Eubanks!
