THIS DEALERSHIP/SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS A SCAM! !! I went in for a tire rotation which should have taken no longer than an hour. I waited 3.5 - 4 hours in the waiting area to get my car back. They !! They said I needed brake pads on the front & rear and that it's in the "red" and I only had 3mm left of wear on them now. I declined service as it would have cost me at least $800 to have them fix it. I was going to price out my options first. I had also waited long enough and my day was already wasted. I had other errands that needed to be done. I found a mechanic who could do the brake pad replacement cheaper and took it in the following week to have done. He looked over the car and said the brake pads looked brand new and there wasn't much wear to them. He held up the new brake pad next to the old to show us the comparison and he was right, barely an wear at all. This mechanic also used to work at Gary Smith Honda and confirmed that they will try and sell you anything your car doesn't need just to gain a profit. If you go in for one issue they will try and upsell something else to get more money out of you. They will always try and sell you a fluids flush/refill on all fluids, spark plug replacements, brake pad replacements, & air filters before your car even enters the service bay and put on the lift. Gary Smith Honda doesn't care about anything other than making a profit and getting a large bonus check at the end of the year. Their Customer Service is greatly lacking. I am concerned that they aren't even looking over the car for legit needs. If they give you a list of services your car "needs" get a second opinion always! You are probably getting scammed as well! I took it to another mechanic and they had said the battery and brakes were completely fine with no issues. All this dealership is looking for is to make money off of scamming people by telling them there are issues when there is no issue. More
Had an agreement to purchase 2022 Honda Ridgeline. Sales manager agreed to purchase price and salesman advised he placed a sold tag on vehicle until I return from out of town. Very disappointing dealing with Honda sales that have no scruples . Do not deal with these people because their business practices are unethical and dishonest. Reported to BBB . My Honda Accord had a recall for paint defect, paint pealing off. It required a repaint which took three weeks leaving me without transportation. I had an appointment for an oil change on 11/8/23 at 11:00 and ended up waiting 1 1/2 hours. I understand things can get backed up, but this was unacceptable. Good evening, I'm writing this because i wanted to shed some light on my expierence with this dealership. Me n My friend went there trying to buy a 2023 Civic. It was a normal back n forth situation as he didn't want to pay markup. Eventually gotten it down to sticker plus, 7K on top. We both didn't feel like it was a win for what the car is worth. Later in the next month, car is still there. And he calls, to see if they would go lower in price. The sales man, hangs up. Butt dials us back, while they are "discussing numbers". They continue to trash talk us, because we'd mention that car wasn't gonna sale with a huge markup and gonna be sitting. Well, we were right and willing to make another attempt. I never try leaving bad reviews but my goodness what a horrible experience I had. I waited 4 hours the first time I was there. I called all week to try and get a refund and no one helped me. I left multiple messages and nothing. This forced me to have to drive another 30 minutes to deal with it. I get there and they look at the oil and sure enough it wasn't changed. Then they offered me a free oil change for the inconvenience. That didn't happen. The "new" manager tells me that they can't verify that was offered. They seriously have been the worst experience I have ever had. I will definitely never do business with them again. Save yourself some trouble and go to Pensacola. More
