In my professional opinion, the dealership engaged in deceptive marketing of the used EV sale price. The advertised price automatically assumed the buyer was eligible for state and federal EV tax credit deceptive marketing of the used EV sale price. The eligibility of the federal rebate was assumed but not confirmed (no question was asked regarding income and the federal EV tax credit was automatically applied by the dealership). While paying 2024 federal taxes, I learned I had to pay back the $4000 to the government. The dealer should have confirmed eligibility verbally to assure the EV credits were applicable. I would not have purchased the vehicle. Additionally, the car had an active recall at the time of the sale. I feel the recall should have been fixed before the car was picked-up (I was in no rush). I brought the car in twice for the recall. First they said they needed 2 hours and didn't have enough time left in the day, then on the second drop off they said they needed 2 days. Dealer does not return calls or e-mails. I have contacted KIA to complain. More
