I was on a waiting list to be one of the first to purchase a Hyundai Ioniq 5 in 2022, and Hyundai assigned my deposit to Gary Rome. In March, I got a call that my vehicle was on its way. We liked the car, and I was ready to purchase the vehicle on the spot. However, the sales person informed us that the dealership's policy was to charge 5K over MSRP. I tried to negotiate this politely- the car was already quite pricey. The sales person said he would check with his manager, came back and said there wasn't much he could do, but promised to check once more and call me back. I never got any further contact from the dealership, not even to follow up and tell me they wouldn't sell me the car at close to MSRP. The price-gouging was bad enough, but to not even have the courtesy to be back in touch with me showed utter disdain for a customer who was clearly prepared to buy a car. Spend all you want on funny local TV ads, Gary Rome - treating customers who don't want to pay thousands over MSRP like dirt is no way to run a business. I just bought a Kia EV6 from a rival dealership, didn't pay a penny over MSRP, and couldn't be happier with my new electric car. More

Having never even driven a Hyundai, I was unsure of what I wanted but wanted something practical. Started the process online and not only was I hounded by phone calls from someone to come in and test drive, I was also not listened to. I not only put the vehicle I wanted to test drive in your online system but I also put my trade-in in as well and setup an anticipated test drive date. Upon getting to the dealership, not only did they not have an appointment but they didn't even have my trade-in or test drive vehicle. Upon visiting the dealership, I was introduced to a salesperson who, was absolutely one of the core reasons I did not purchase, but not entirely. I wanted to test drive, that is it; not discuss numbers or have my credit run but she wanted no part of that. She had the wrong car in my profile, or didn't have my trade-in; when I asked if the systems sync she simply said "I'm doing the best I can.". We test drove the vehicle, with her in the vehicle and was not knowledgeable about the vehicle at all. Even commented about a couple other vehicles and she didn't offer to have us drive those. In the end, she was extremely rude and pushy; I reiterated to her I simply wanted to test drive. She inquired if I wanted to go over numbers, what other cars I was looking at and "when I was going to make a decision." She said she had to go talk to her manager, for whatever reason and we left which results her chasing after us and saying she wanted to give us her business card. It's her fault any part of this failed as well as the rest of the staff. Looking around, everyone was not helpful to other guests and if she respected what I was looking for or even attempted to listen to what I was looking for then this whole scenario would go so much different. I brought in my 2022 Tucson when I noticed my tire pressure was low. Of course I had picked up a large nail in my tire! I gave a 2 because my sales experience was great! I knocked off the other 3 stars for the worst service department ever. My last 3 cars have been Hyundai...this is the first time buying at Gary Rome and I also referred 2 of my friends who also bought vehicles there....but I doubt I will be referring again and I will he going elsewhere for service...its a shame because my sales and finance experience was wonderful. Took my 2011 sonata to get a brake Job in Feb of 2020 , brought it back a few months to get them checked because of squeak noise they said it was fine . less than two years had to get a totally new bre brought it back a few months to get them checked because of squeak noise they said it was fine . less than two years had to get a totally new break job the pads wore down to nothing , now i only drive around 6000 miles a year there;\'s no way i should need a new brake job so Disappointed!!
