Just bought a 2010 CR-V EX-L. The price they quoted was very competitive - other dealers in NJ/NY area couldn't match their price. Arrived late Saturday evening to see the car. The internet sales person whom I initially contacted was not available, but another salesperson, Jason Lee, effectively handled my case - from test driving to paperwork to insurance and registration. He was very courteous throughout the process and was open for various questions and last minute negotiation. One thing was that the internet salesperson told me that finance rate will be 2.9% for someone with good credit. It was not when I went there - best from Honda was 4.9%. I complained about this, and their finance person (forgot his name) tried hard and got a 3.4% financing from some other bank. I appreciated this a lot. Overall, it was a streamlined process, and I would recommend this place to others. More

Also, I received 3 year roadside assistance and free replace key for being a first time buyer! It pays off to be nice, because it always comes back to you! Also, they weren’t like other dealerships where they nag you and make you feel like you’re being forced to do something, (like Open Road Mazda!!!) it was a comforting environment. More

I was in the market for a new Honda Fit Sport in a rare color. I visited most of the Honda dealers within 50 miles of Jersey City. All had terrible customer service, sparse inventory, opaque pricing, and color. I visited most of the Honda dealers within 50 miles of Jersey City. Despite all this, I finally left a deposit at another Honda dealer who kept changing the expected delivery date and who had added lots of nuisance fees to my invoice. Then I received an email from Tim Hlavenka at Garden State Honda asking if I was still looking for a car. I explained to him the nightmare I was having. He assured me that if I met with him he could treat me right. I am SO happy I did. Tim was very professional and courteous, and he offered me top dollar for my trade in, a lower price for the car, and removed almost all the extra fees. Even now that I have picked up the car, he is still following up with me to make sure I am continuing to have a good experience with my extra parts installations. I would recommend that anyone looking for a Honda go to him first and save yourself the headache of going anywhere else. Honda USA Corp., I hope you are reading this... you should have Tim teach the rest of your dealerships the proper way to treat a customer. More

I will be honest, I went there earlier this year (around March 2009) and the manager that thankfully is no longer there would not budge on a deal so I left and was sooooo angry! Well I'm telling you that things have changed since his departure! A few weeks ago, my husband went back and spoke with Freddy. He gave us a quote, emailed it to me, held it until I was ready to buy and not only honored it when we got to the dealership but worked with us to make sure that it was the best possible deal! He was awesome! I not only would recommend them to anyone I know, but I am planning to get a new lease for my husband there as well! They worked me with me all the way, and I did not leave there thinking I've been had. If you have been there and had a bad experience in the past, put that bad experience aside and give them another chance. Things have changed for the better!! :-) More

Long story short: they promised they have 4 in stock and have one under my name. When I got there in 1 hour, was told all 4 were just sold. They then offered me a different model for much higher price. I wa have one under my name. When I got there in 1 hour, was told all 4 were just sold. Yes, I know this kind of tricks in advance, and I called three times to double check. Each time they promised "we DO have the car you want"--shamelessly, even though I told them I have to drive one hour with a 11-month old baby. They are hopeless liers. Stay away from them, you do not want to waste your hard-earned money and your precious time. More
