I was lied to by every person I dealt with at this dealership, except Lonnie - all 8 of them. I don't even remember all of their names! Why you need 8 people involved when I negotiated and practical dealership, except Lonnie - all 8 of them. I don't even remember all of their names! Why you need 8 people involved when I negotiated and practically bought the car over the phone just bewildered me. I called for a Ridgeline and was told it was in stock. Then when I negotiated a price (The Consumer Reports Buying Service Price) and terms, I was told the car was not in stock, but a dealer Demo was, which they tried to get me to come see. Then I was told it was in stock. So I confirmed the price, the 0% financing, and that I would not be charged ANY additional fees except taxes and tags. Lied to again. Finally, after confirming the vehicle was there and thinking I had negotiated everything ahead of time, I spent 4 hours there and even walked out once - all for a car I thought I had bought over the phone, for the most post. I expected to go in sign a few papers and drive away. But they use strong-arm practices and keep moving you from person to person, and desk to desk (I was moved to 5 different desks in two different buildings) I was hit with a higher price by a dishonest manager named Les, who said the person I was dealing with that confirmed the price for me BEFORE I GOT THERE ( I live 2 hours away), that I was told was the finance manager was just a tele-marketer. That turned out to be not true because when I walked out finance manager, Natasha called me back to tell me Les had lied and I should come back and can deal with someone reputable. When I got there, I was told the price would be $190 higher. Then as I was preparing to sign I was told of a $299 documentation fee, which I confirmed earlier I would NOT have to pay. So Natasha lied to me too. The whole experience was a nightmare. If it wasn't that I couldn't get exactly what I wanted somewhere else, I would have gone to California before buying from Garden State Liar's Honda. I got home after midnight. At which time the nightmare was over. More

We recently picked up a 2012 Civic for my daughter and she absolutely loved the entire buying experience. Garden State had to locate the car for her (she wanted a specific color) and they did so in just she absolutely loved the entire buying experience. Garden State had to locate the car for her (she wanted a specific color) and they did so in just a few days. The car came in perfect - we all went over it with a fine tooth comb. It came in with a few dealer installed options and we were not charged for these. We did want body side moulding and they had that overnighted and ready when we picked up the car. The 2012's just came out and coupes are hard to find. Despite the high demand and low supply, Garden State gave us a phenomenal deal that no other dealer could come close to. I kept looking for the hidden catch, but there weren't any. And, throughout the entire process, everyone constantly worked to earn our business. We literally made a deal with a handshake - the old fashioned and honorable way - and all worked out perfect. My daughter loves the car and we will both return to Garden State Honda as well as refer all our friends and family. Tim is the GM and he will make sure you are satisfied. I suggest you ask for him. I accommodating. I was able to see all the vehicles I wanted to and learn about their features, which helped me make the most informed decision. I never encountered high pressure sales people trying to trap me into a bad deal. The prices and options I received were very fair. The atmosphere of this dealership is very friendly and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for the best possible Honda buying experience. More

Regards, a few months ago I gave a very nice comment for workers in the Garden State Honda Clifton NJ, but I made a mistake, I bought a car (11/26/11) and after less than a month I have a problem with the b workers in the Garden State Honda Clifton NJ, but I made a mistake, I bought a car (11/26/11) and after less than a month I have a problem with the brakes, in these less than 5 months I visited the Garden State Honda in Clifton NJ, 584 West Rte.3. twice to help me to solve the problem of my car, but I have not received the promised assistance, I experienced disappointment and lack of professionalism of the service manager and his mechanic, they sent me home like an idiot with a response that is normal to the Honda Civic 2011 to hear the loud robing sound when release brake.Everything I wrote in my previous comment I want to withdraw from the desire to help others Not be naive like me and be careful where to buy car. Sorry for any interference, all the best from a naive buyer. JUST AN UPDATE, I visited the Garden State Honda for the third time, this time American Honda Representative tried to explain to me the problem with the new HONDA CIVIC 2011 His theories about the problem with my car were this, a car that was parked outside have a problem with the brakes, Due to bad weather (rain, snow), I thought to myself, should I first buy a car garage or car? other theory of American Honda Representative was that I need to wait six months or a year and that the issue will resolve itself, I thought to myself, should I buy a used car because they are better than HONDA CIVIC 2011.FUNNY OR WHAT? This review is a little late - bought a new Civic around October 2010. Read reviews of this place, as well as internet quote experiences PRIOR to walking in and was a bit weary, as I received a quote via October 2010. Read reviews of this place, as well as internet quote experiences PRIOR to walking in and was a bit weary, as I received a quote via internet myself. I dealt with Miss Lisa Pagan, who was VERY professional and genuinely nice (she sits right by the entrance). Since they didn't have the exact color I wanted, her manager tried offering me a higher model, different color at a slight price increase. No go! Ms. Pagan fought for me, and they had the exact color I wanted in just 2 business days. I contacted about 14 dealerships in the tri-state area. YES, this place may not have the highest reviews (though it's definitely NOT near the worst), but they were one of the few that actually price matched me. Reading the reviews, I feel experience at GSH is based mostly on salesperson that you deal with. That said, head over to Ms. Lisa Pagan, and she'll essentially 'fight' for you to keep your business without resorting to some double speak that I've read reviews about with other dealerships. She's polished, professional, courteous, and actually takes the time to explain the contract items line by line. Very thorough, no surprises with her, and a pleasant personality. As an accountant, it's nice to know she also had prior experience as it shows in her work; she's very level-headed and objective in her approach, doesn't try to sway you, and wants you to feel comfortable in the end. PS, the other staff members I dealt with were also accommodating - I did pay cash, so not sure if that helped to make the process go smoother. I'd recommend this place, especially Lisa. More
