Before going to Garden State Honda, I went to some other dealerships to shop around but they treated me like I was just a sale and other dealerships made me feel like i was being tricked or mislead. Garden State Honda had the best service and Johnny walked me through the whole process. He talked to me able features and prices and what would work best for me and my budget. I felt great about the whole experience! I will definately recommend Johnny and Garden State Honda to everyone I know and go there from now on for all my dearship needs. More
This is the eighth car we have leased from this dealership. Honda makes an excellent automobile. I always deal with the same salesperson. He's friendly and knowledgeable. This dealership tried to charge me $4,000 for a transmission which was under warrantee. I contacted Honda NA and they got me my new transmission, but if I hadn't been diligent, I might have paid o transmission which was under warrantee. I bought the auto new from this dealership's previous owner, but they said they wouldn't honor my agreement with the previous owner. They kept me waiting 3 hours for a service, but I realized after I drove away that they never performed the service. A letter of complaint to the owner, Tim Burns, went unanswered. More
I went Garden State Honda and it was GREAT! My sales-Woman, who was Lisa Pagan, was new but acted like she had been there for years. She knows her stuff. She said for every person that buys a car from her because I send them over, she will give me a check for $100.00 WOW! Lisa Pagan was great and if you do go there, ask for her first even if she is busy, wait in line because she will make your day with her happy smile. More
Garden State Honda is awful. AAA Dealer Relations called them and spoke to manager, Jerry Ojeda to see if they had the car that I wanted and told Jerry that I would drive to the dealership. I also called Jerry introduced myself and told him that I would be at the dealership the next day. I rented a car then called Jerry to tell him I would be there at 3:00 p.m. I live an hour from the dealership. When I arrived at Garden State Honda, I was told that the car had been sold while I was driving to the dealership. They said someone came in to buy the car in blue but when they saw my car (white) which was waiting for me to arrive, the person wanted the white instead of the blue so they sold it to her knowing that I was on my way. They told me that she was leaving the dealership when I arrived. Garden State Honda is a dealer for both AAA and Costco members. How appalling. I complained to both AAA Dealer Relations and Costco and hope that Garden State Honda will be thrown out of both of their programs very soon. If this is how they treat a AAA and Costco member, I can not imagine how they treat the rest of their customers. They rate an F at the Better Business Bureau. It took me 2 hours to get home in the Garden State Parkway traffic. Garden State Honda wasted a lot of my time and my money for a rental car. More
My salesman was very helpful in finding the vehicle I wanted and at the price I was looking for. I got prices from numerous dealers in my area and Garden State Honda was the best price I received. Don't keep the written word. Change the terms and price the closer you think you are getting to make a deal. They keep changing sales reps each time which makes it difficult and requires you to keep repea the closer you think you are getting to make a deal. I walked into Garden State Honda on a Friday morning knowing the exact vehicle I wanted to buy (Odyssey EX) and with a pre-arranged internet price quote from Amex/zag.com in hand. All that was left was knowing the exact vehicle I wanted to buy (Odyssey EX) and with a pre-arranged internet price quote from Amex/zag.com in hand. All that was left was to work out the financing and take delivery! I was directed to Jimmy DiGiorgio by the Internet salesperson. Jimmy D honored the pre-determined price without hassle and told me they had one EX model left in stock, which we could have ready in a couple of hours. I paid a deposit, we contacted my insurance for coverage and I was back out of the dealership within 45 minutes - what a breeze! I came back in the afternoon to pick up the car, working with Ben in the finance dept to seal the deal. He was great, explaining everything calmly and without pressure. Jimmy D walked me out to the lot, explained the basics of the car and special features and sent us on our way. He followed up a day or two later to check that everything was going OK with the new car, and that we were satisfied. Overall the experience was wonderful - low pressure, courteous, and knowledgeable. I'd go back there again and I intend to use them for service. More
