My sales associate, Jim Bo Jack, was super friendly and accommodating. I was able to see all the vehicles I wanted to and learn about their features, which helped me make the most informed decision. I accommodating. I was able to see all the vehicles I wanted to and learn about their features, which helped me make the most informed decision. I never encountered high pressure sales people trying to trap me into a bad deal. The prices and options I received were very fair. The atmosphere of this dealership is very friendly and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for the best possible Honda buying experience. More

Regards, a few months ago I gave a very nice comment for workers in the Garden State Honda Clifton NJ, but I made a mistake, I bought a car (11/26/11) and after less than a month I have a problem with the b workers in the Garden State Honda Clifton NJ, but I made a mistake, I bought a car (11/26/11) and after less than a month I have a problem with the brakes, in these less than 5 months I visited the Garden State Honda in Clifton NJ, 584 West Rte.3. twice to help me to solve the problem of my car, but I have not received the promised assistance, I experienced disappointment and lack of professionalism of the service manager and his mechanic, they sent me home like an idiot with a response that is normal to the Honda Civic 2011 to hear the loud robing sound when release brake.Everything I wrote in my previous comment I want to withdraw from the desire to help others Not be naive like me and be careful where to buy car. Sorry for any interference, all the best from a naive buyer. JUST AN UPDATE, I visited the Garden State Honda for the third time, this time American Honda Representative tried to explain to me the problem with the new HONDA CIVIC 2011 His theories about the problem with my car were this, a car that was parked outside have a problem with the brakes, Due to bad weather (rain, snow), I thought to myself, should I first buy a car garage or car? other theory of American Honda Representative was that I need to wait six months or a year and that the issue will resolve itself, I thought to myself, should I buy a used car because they are better than HONDA CIVIC 2011.FUNNY OR WHAT? This review is a little late - bought a new Civic around October 2010. Read reviews of this place, as well as internet quote experiences PRIOR to walking in and was a bit weary, as I received a quote via October 2010. Read reviews of this place, as well as internet quote experiences PRIOR to walking in and was a bit weary, as I received a quote via internet myself. I dealt with Miss Lisa Pagan, who was VERY professional and genuinely nice (she sits right by the entrance). Since they didn't have the exact color I wanted, her manager tried offering me a higher model, different color at a slight price increase. No go! Ms. Pagan fought for me, and they had the exact color I wanted in just 2 business days. I contacted about 14 dealerships in the tri-state area. YES, this place may not have the highest reviews (though it's definitely NOT near the worst), but they were one of the few that actually price matched me. Reading the reviews, I feel experience at GSH is based mostly on salesperson that you deal with. That said, head over to Ms. Lisa Pagan, and she'll essentially 'fight' for you to keep your business without resorting to some double speak that I've read reviews about with other dealerships. She's polished, professional, courteous, and actually takes the time to explain the contract items line by line. Very thorough, no surprises with her, and a pleasant personality. As an accountant, it's nice to know she also had prior experience as it shows in her work; she's very level-headed and objective in her approach, doesn't try to sway you, and wants you to feel comfortable in the end. PS, the other staff members I dealt with were also accommodating - I did pay cash, so not sure if that helped to make the process go smoother. I'd recommend this place, especially Lisa. More

Sorry if this is rambling, but "the We Say Sorry if this is rambling, but "the We Say Yes" Dealer has good points and bad points. Price is super duper cheap (you get what you pay for), Servi Sorry if this is rambling, but "the We Say Yes" Dealer has good points and bad points. Price is super duper cheap (you get what you pay for), Service Area is so far great, but finance is a MESS and getting answers to questions is extremely difficult after the purchase. I would expect logically that if you pay more they treat you better. I had researched Garden State Honda before buying, and my experience matches with what others experienced here. The car was very very cheap and they threw in remote door opener for nothing. But there were endless errors in the numbers (I think they make small errors on purpose both in my and their favor randomly) and negotiating took a long long time. Quality of the car was fine from Honda, but was lied too about some features (cruise control was missing and that was my one requirement). First day Tao took me for a test drive, and was unknowledgable and misleading about the car. He could not tell me any features, gas mileage, etc. Got a call a week later with a super cheap price so I went to the other dealer on the highway (there are TWO garden state hondas). Worked with Alwin and he was GREAT but they guy he worked with which didn't give me his name was HORRIBLE (standard "good cop bad cop" routine possibly, bad cop witholds his name). They made me promise to give them a high rating for the great deal I was getting, while I over and over again I said I would pay in cash and it needed cruise control. At the end of the day of negotiations..... the car WASN'T ready, even though we were told it was before that. So I had to come back another day to pick it up. I had a lot of work so I stated I did not have much time and needed the car ASAP, and they said it should take at most one hour. It took 4 hours to negotiate with finance (Fernando) and they refused to let me pay in cash and made me take out a loan. I agreed (no time to argue) with some of the possibly good insurances (first new car) and checked multiple times I could cancel the GAP and REPAIR MASTER any time with no issues. 2 hours late for my meeting, I left and was then told it had no cruise control and the remote doors were not attached and they gave me a form (WE OWE)to arrange an appointment to get the remote door added.... (there goes their good rating, anyway I am not particular so I will take the car to save time, but I am annoyed). I researched it and saw a time limit to install the remote door with the WE OWE. So I started calling and after a few days of calling, I finally got an appointment to have it added (maybe the person was off). The appointment went surprisingly smooth and there was food in the service area and it was fast and everyone was pleasant. But the accessories cost more than I was willing to pay, so I did those on my own. (I held off as long as possible giving the bad phone review, but Garden State kept calling me at the office and I had tons of work to do so I gave it, but I did give a pretty good one to Alwin cause he did followup a lot and did try his best, but you know dealers, the internal workings are complex and you can't fight the people in charge of the dealership especially if you are the front end sales person). I paid off my Honda after checking that I would get the refund before hand... checking took 3 weeks (including the visits and phone calls listed below). Paying Honda took one day, Honda itself is a great company. After research it had turned out the insurances were a bad deal so I went to cancel. 3 visits (two in snowstorms), numerous phone calls to answering machines to multiple people in Garden State Honda, having to call the insurance agency in TEXAS and fax the materials myself and the same for American Honda Finance, and on top of that to escalate up someone high level in AMF, months later, I finally got through to the right person (Tim) and got the money back on Repair master (following the advice on these reviews and the Honda forums). GAP actually only took 1 month, but it worried me. In the end I opted to add the other features on my own. More
