Review of my awful experience at Garden State Honda: I Review of my awful experience at Garden State Honda: I first contacted them via email with an extremely detailed offer I received from another Honda Review of my awful experience at Garden State Honda: I first contacted them via email with an extremely detailed offer I received from another Honda dealership. The offer was trading in a 2011 Nissan Maxima in exchange for 2012 Honda Pilot AWD EX-L w/ Nav (I will provide the actually email I sent to GSH later. I was quickly called by a woman named Marsha stating that her manager Greg has accepted my offer and when can I come down. I stated to her before I come down let’s make sure we are on the same page and I went over all the numbers down to the last penny. She assured me YES Greg (the manager) will match my offer but he just needs to see my trade and verify the mileage, condition, and the options I disclosed were accurate. I once again asked are you positive Marsha said yes just ask for Greg we won’t waste your time. (was I in for a surprise). Upon arrival I was greeted and I asked for Greg and was told he was in the middle desk Marsha walked me over and introduced me. Greg did not help or discuss his deal he was matching (guess he was too busy eating lunch) so he called over sales rep Alex handed him some paperwork and told Alex this should be 1-2-3 (whatever that meant) So Alex greeted and walked me over to his desk and began entering info about my trade into there system. Then he took me for a test drive so I could see how the truck drove. After the test drive I came back to the dealer and about 45 minutes had passed. So I just walked around the dealer showroom for another 20 minutes or so. Then I was approached by a gentleman named Ceaser and walked me to Alex’s desk and told me to follow him and let’s talk about what were dealing with (I knew he was not coming to ask me what color I wanted) So as we sat down he started going over numbers of my offer I emailed them stating they don’t make sense (that’s when my blood began to boil) I immediately interrupted him because I seen the lease payments on the bottom of his page they were offering me of 709 and I may mention Marsha said to Greg accepted my offer of 472 per month. So I stormed out of there could not believe they called me in for that joke of an offer a nice 237 dollar difference….very unprofessional. My only question why would a manager ask me to come in and not even come close to what I believe he was doing. I was leasing the Pilot for my wife, and calling her to see what color she wanted and to come home with no truck….what a great disappointment. I purchased several car/suv before from various dealers and I never experienced anything closed to this. And to go on record I would never recommend any to this dealer unless some how they make it right! PS I will show the exact email I sent to them. More
I went to dealership to know the price of the vehicle. When I took the appointment, I was told, when I show the COSTCO membership card, dealership would give the Costco member price. Dealership DID NOT gi When I took the appointment, I was told, when I show the COSTCO membership card, dealership would give the Costco member price. Dealership DID NOT give me the COSTCO member price, while I was told they would match the Edmunds price. If the dealer were to say "They would match Edmunds Price", there was no need for me to go to this dealer. Dealer's concern was if I would the Vehicle on that day or not. As a customer I may or may not buy, after knowing the price, as price is a major factor for me. If the dealer does not want to offer me they could have told earlier. Even the Sales supervisor was conveying the message that the Edmunds price is better than the COSTCO member price, which is not correct. So if the dealership sales people are not sure about the price, please DO NOT convey wrong information. More

I called back to speak to someo website. the girl was rude on the phone, I asked to speak to manager, she said no one is available and HUNG up on me. I called back to speak to someone else and got an attitude from someone else! I just called another dealer they handled my concerns right away, I went there and bought a car.
