I strongly recommend Clifton Honda Dealer. My experience with salesperson Julio Cartagena as well as the Sales Manager Natasha was great. Before I have made the decision to come into this dealer I have also with salesperson Julio Cartagena as well as the Sales Manager Natasha was great. Before I have made the decision to come into this dealer I have also made contact with other dealers on the same date. My experience with other dealers and salespersons were horrible and stressful. I was so discouraged and ready to give up on buying a car from a dealer. I even thought about just buying any used car at a small town dealer and just let it be. But then something inside of me said call Honda in Clifton NJ. I made the call and came in contact with Sales manager Natasha. I spoke to her about how it was becoming so hard and stressful for me to buy a car. Number one because I was not ready to get myself into a 5 years debt and number two because I was willing to use all my money savings to buy a used car in order to avoid a monthly payment. She felt how discouraged I was over the phone when I spoke to her and she encouraged me to come into the dealer and ask for her. She said she was going to make sure I get treated like family. At first I was like....yeah ok...here we go again. These dealers are all about the money...I thought to myself. Well, not this time. When I came into the dealer I immediately met the salesperson Natasha had assigned to work with me to get me a car, but wait...not just a used car like I wanted, but they got me into a new car, a 2013 Honda accord LX. At first when they spoke to me about my payment options in order to be to afford a new car without using all of my savings up front I was like, well, I don't know how you guys are going to do it. I was willing to pay $20, 000 on any used car just like that in order to avoid a monthly payment. It was not until Julio and Natasha together as a team got together and put a deal for me. A deal that I did not believe myself because it sounded too good to be true to me at first. We all know how that saying goes; if it is too good to be true then it is not true. Well this time God blessed me with the right sales people and my car deal was just perfect for me, Thank God. If you would like to meet a great team of professional people who are not just about to make a profit of you and kick you out the dealer door in a rush, then the dealers you need to go too is Clifton Honda and ask for Julio Cartagena and sales manager Natasha. Julio was very nice and was able to work out a very good price with his sales manager Alejandro Estremera. They were able to give me a fair price on my trade and work out a low monthly payment on my new vehicle that I was very happy with. They didn't try to sell me any extra features on my new 2013 Honda CRV that I would not use. Julio was very thorough when going over the features of the vehicle. He seemed very knowledgeable about the car that I was purchasing, and very helpful and attentive to any questions or concerns that I may have had. Both Julio and Alejandro made it the best car buying experience I have ever had. Julio is the type of person that wants to build a long term relationship with his customers and goes out of his way to make sure you have a good car buying experience. Everytime a Honda commercial comes on the television my 2 year old son gets excited and tells me that it's our car! I would definitely buy again from them when it's time for another new car. I was originally very happy with the deal that I got from Garden State Honda. This is the second time I was leasing with them and I got the deal that I was looking for. However, two weeks after I turned my c Garden State Honda. This is the second time I was leasing with them and I got the deal that I was looking for. However, two weeks after I turned my car in I received the Inspection report from SGS that said wear and tear was $1032. This seemed like an extremely high number to me considering that there was no damage to my car. I knew that I was covered for $1500 so I thought I was fine. I then received a bill for $661 for excess wear and tear. I then called Honda Financial 5 times and they said that it was billed as a collision so that is why I have to pay that amount. I was not in an accident in that car and even the dealer, Tony, told me that there was no damage to my car. The fifth time I called I was told that since I re-leased with Honda that they could knock 50% off of that amount but I need to talk to the dealership and they can waive the rest. I made multiple phone calls to Garden State Honda and received no reply. I also faxed over the bill and report so they could have the visual of what I was referring to. I then had to go there in person since no one was returning my calls or messages and the only one who seemed to be trying to help me was Hamad Matari. Everyone else told me that I had to call Honda Financial after I told them that I had already done that. This whole experience has made me no longer want to do business with Honda if I now have to pay $661 for a car that had no damage. If the inspection was mandatory, then why was I allowed to turn my car in without it? It seems like a money making scam and I will let others know not to do business with Honda after this. More
This Honda team was Great. From the minute i was greeted at the door until now. I still am treated well when i come to the dealer. Nelson was a great salesman. Hamad, Great guy, although it was late in the day/early morning (midnight madness sale), he helped me with the paperwork and got me out the door in my new car. I would defenitely recommend friends and family to this dealer as i had a great experience. Good job guys. More

After having been put through the ringer at several area Honda dealerships, I decided to make one last attempt to get a new Odyssey. Instead of showing up in person to be abused, this time I went to Garden Honda dealerships, I decided to make one last attempt to get a new Odyssey. Instead of showing up in person to be abused, this time I went to Garden State Honda on-line and requested a quote. Honestly, I was not expecting anything different than the usual run-around, but within minutes a got a pleasant response from Natasha Marques who listened to my woes about getting into a new lease while trading in my old Odyssey. She was courteous, friendly and very professional. Natasha then got Elaine, the Finance Mgr. involved, who worked out the leasing issues and suggested I come to get my trade-in inspected. Unlike other finance managers whom I've dealt with, Elaine followed through with a no-nonsense and honest approach. She didn't tell me one thing on the phone, only to say something completely different once I got in. That is what I experienced elsewhere. When my husband and I finally went, we were assisted by Sterling, who got us started on the paperwork and did a great job explaining all the details of the car. Elaine finalized the deal with our trade-in and we accepted a very fair offer. Victor Rodriguez and Ed Gorham also assisted in working out all the leasing details and couldn't have been nicer or more professional in getting the deal done. Overall, I am somewhat shocked that I actually had a pleasant experience at a car dealership without the exhausting haggling and abusive tactics. Garden State Honda did an terrific job and I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone looking to buy or lease a car. The management at Garden State Honda is definitely doing something right because everyone who we dealt with gave us outstanding service and attention. Don't waste your time going to any other dealership! More
