Had a good experience buying my certified used Fit from GSH. I found the car in the web inventory, they had just gotten it in. I called to make an appointment for the same afternoon, and as promised the car was waiting for me. I did not try to negotiate much on price, as it was fair and there is not much margin on the Fit. The sticker price was the same as the internet price. My sales rep (Manny) was courteous and not pushy. The test drive was enough to get a sense of the car. I did a fairly thorough parking-lot visual inspection of the car, and the service department straightened out a loose front spoiler before I left. They gave me a voucher for a second copy of the key, as the part was not in stock. They also offered to throw in mats from a different Fit. Financing department was also good, in contrast to experiences I've had elsewhere; other than trying several times to get me to buy into supplementary warranties, there were no games or BS charges that I could detect. Only concern so far a week later, was that the coolant level on the engine was low. I fixed this myself. The visit took about 2.5 hours from walking up to the door in the afternoon, to driving off. Alejandro is one of the most considerate, amorous people I know when it comes to their job. I felt an immediate connection with him. Compared to other dealerships, the prices on the cars were unbeatable. Immediately, I was sold. Alejandro helped me and I was off into a new adventure with my new car. I loved the atmosphere, the attitude of Alejandro, and everything he offered when it came to the knowledge of the cars. Nothing could compare to the customer service when I needed help, the monthly rates, and the excitement of rolling through the streets with a bright, fuel efficient car. I give Garden State Honda a twelve out of ten. I would never forget my experience with Alejandro, and I will be coming back for more cars. More

The team at Garden State Honda took the time and effort to work with me in order to lease a new Accord EX-L. After visists to five other dealerships (including one other Honda dealer), they listened long to work with me in order to lease a new Accord EX-L. After visists to five other dealerships (including one other Honda dealer), they listened long enough and strived to get a deal done. Ultimately, Debbie Breslin took ownership of the situation and through her efforts, she made the rest of the team shine. The paperwork and pick up of the car was seamless and overall I left with my car as a very happy customer, one who will be willing to send business to the dealership and be a repeat customer. More

I will never recommend "Garden State Honda" to anyone nor I will ever go to this facility. My expierence was a bad one. Once Alex finish doing his sell he took me over to the man who did all my financial paperwork. This man was showing me where to sign and was kind of rushing me since it was so late at night already. I thought I could trust him with everthing and so i started to sign. He then pointed me where to initial the Gap insurance as if I was inrtrested in purchasing it. Never once was it mentioned to me or asked if I wanted to purchase the Gap insurance. So I neglected to sign and told him I was not intrested in it. He told me ok but he will make sure that it was removed. I told him if I sign I'm purchasing it and so I was aware of what Gap insurance was and I knew it was optional. He then changed the story around and said that I had to sign because that was the agreement to my monthly payment. I told him that I was not signing and that he should do a new contract because that was included in my fees and so now I knew that my monthly payment should be less. He was so annoyed and told me FINE! He wrote up the new contract and said that he had only one form left and I told him well "I hope you make no mistakes this time. He then rushed me again to sign and so I did. On Thursday April 26, 2012 while having my lunch at work I read carefully the contract and realize another descrepency. I immediately called Garden State Honda and told Tim the manager that I realized the contract that Alex filled out had the correct pricing of the vehicle($24,355car and tax $1,704.85)the one the Financial representative filled out. The financial rep. had the tax as 1732.85 and total purchase price $26,487.85 and there I reallized that the car was sold on the contract as $24,755,00. Tim told me to please go in to the dealership in the afternoon and so I did and took all the paperwork. I went in and waited about 30min untill he was ready to see me. He told me that the financial rep. had in the system that he sold me and Etch for $400. and if I had requested it or if he offered it to me. I said no I never new about this and it was never mentioned to me. He then said that unfortunately I had to come back in the store the following day because all the paperwork was in Passaic facility. I was not happy but what else could I do. He said also that he might not be there when I would show up but he would leave everthing ready for me with Alex Vargas and a couple free oil change certificates for the inconvenience. On Friday I walk in Garden State Honda and Alex said that Tim left him no paperwork for me. I don't think he even new why I was there. He then talked to someone else to see who new about the situation. About 15minutes later a Lady took care of me. She asked me if I wanted a check for $400. or a new contract. I told her the contract because the $400 on the contracted had tax included and an intrested rate added. So she did and once everything was finished I told her Tim had promised to leave free Oil change certificates for me for the inconvience. She said she had no idea and she would have him call me. So I have not yet recieved a phone call from Tim nor did I get any certificates. I feel this is the worst buy I have ever made. I almost feel like taking my CRV and returning it. I don't think I even like it anymore. This expierence was nothing like my Toyota Purchase back in 2010. I know where to go next time. Never again will I go to Garden State Honda nor I will buy a Honda!!!! More
