Buying a car is not the issue, the problems are with what happens AFTER the sale. I payed off my car early and was eligible for a refund from my Gap Insurance. I have been calling for the past 2 months and happens AFTER the sale. I payed off my car early and was eligible for a refund from my Gap Insurance. I have been calling for the past 2 months and Hamad is the person I have been working with. I leave messages once a week, have sent e-mails and have sent my paperwork for the refund. I called today after speaking with multiple people on Wednesday (2 days ago) and finally get Hamad on the phone. He claims he never got my paperwork, messages, e-mails, etc (which is funny because the last time I spoke with him he said he had replied to my e-mail and it must have gone to my spam...). I am so angry with this experience. Do not send someone paperwork saying you owe them money in the form of a refund and never answer or work with them and lie any time you speak with them! So unprofessional and a waste of my time. Going to see what my options are if they do not provide me with my refund soon. Oh, and after speaking with Hamad today he said he would check with accounting to see if my paperwork was received and call me back right away. It's been an hour since we spoke.... More
I have bought a few cars here before and Hamad never seizes to amaze me each and every time! It's hard to to feel like family when you are dealing with a guy like that. I came to Garden State Honda after I had very bad experience at Nissan dealership at Hawthorne, NJ. I was pleasantly surprised with the show room and all personnel. Everybody was friendly and put yo experience at Nissan dealership at Hawthorne, NJ. I was pleasantly surprised with the show room and all personnel. Everybody was friendly and put you at ease. Dave Russo was very knowledgeable and informative. He explained all advantages Honda has over other competitors. He was very assertive but not pushy, highly professional but not formal and dry. We had feeling that we came to the friend who will give us a good advise and will take good care of us. He is very intelligent and nice person. We got a great deal and Dave made all process of buying a new car very smooth and enjoyable. Overall we had great time. After nerve racking experience at Nissan dealership we now can say that not all dealerships are created equal. I will definitely recommend anyone who need a car, to go to Garden State Honda and ask for Dave Russo. They will receive great service, attention to details, and in no time they will drive in a new car smiling and talking to all you friends about the great dealership and great people working there. My experience at this dealership was a long and tedious one. Upon meeting my initial salesman, Pedro, I felt positive about what my buying experience was going to be like. However, when I (a previous cus one. Upon meeting my initial salesman, Pedro, I felt positive about what my buying experience was going to be like. However, when I (a previous customer) returned to purchase a car with two other family members, I was met by a less desirable salesman who has since left. He was rude and vain from the moment we entered and did not seem to be operating on the "up and up". Upon returning to pick up a family member's car, I was met by my initial salesman, Pedro again. Pedro is a patient, hard-working young man who does not push and is willing to do the best he can for you. We test drove a couple of cars and I left my information so that Elaine, could work on my approval for credit. A couple of days later, Natasha, the Business Development Center Manager, called to speak with me. She had reviewed my file, did not like what she saw, and wanted to know why I did not purchase from the previous salesman. When I explained to her my negative experience and how he had not worked at all with 2/3 of us, she offered to not only honor the amount offered for my trade in, but also give me the best possible price on a new vehicle. She also extended the same courtesy to my sister who had the same negative experience. My sister and I worked with Natasha, Pedro, and Elaine to get new cars, at the best credit rates possible. The next day, 4 1/2 hours later, my sister purchased her car. A few days later, at the last moment, at 9 pm, the store's manager Ed, tried to extinguish my deal. He tried to slip paperwork past me to sign that de-valued my trade in, offering $1,500 less than I was told I was getting. And when I started to discuss it, he tried every possible ploy possible, even demeaning my credit rating. He tried to use a humiliation tactic when his sales pitch did not hold up. And then, he had me sit for an additonal 20 minutes while he went on a rant on the telephone outside. The only reason I returned to this dealer, with family members in tow to purchase cars as well, was because of the hard work and honesty of the only two women working there, Natasha and Elaine. You would think that when a returning customer returns to purchase a vehicle and brings two more people in, they'd be treated with more respect.....not by the store's general manager. So if you look to purchase a vehicle from this dealership, be on your toes, read everything carefully, and when you're unsure about whether or not your being treated fairly, call up Natasha and Elaine. More
