These guys are xxxxx. They got an advance down payment from me and when I went in to buy the car the next day they said that I need to purchase an insurance program from them or otherwise I wouldn't get a from me and when I went in to buy the car the next day they said that I need to purchase an insurance program from them or otherwise I wouldn't get a loan. They made me pay $3000 for that insurance for 3 years and said that the unused part is refundable anytime. Now I have completed my car payments in a year and applied for a refund of the unused part, but they wont do it. They made me wait for 2 hours in the office and then asked me come again. The next time they made me wait another couple of hours all to just have a couple of forms filled out. Now it has been more than 3 months since I applied for the refund and they still haven't refunded and they wont even return my phone calls. This is plain right stealing money. Wonder why Honda even allows them to have a dealership. Be careful when you deal with them. They are simply thieves. More

Like any satisfied and loyal customer would, I continue to schedule my visits with the same service rep...Natasha Best. She's very attentive, courteous and accomodates my needs while I wait. Her professionalism and knowledge of cars always has me leaving a satisfied customer. She is truly an asset to the dealership and gives Honda a great name. While I am happly with the car and deal I got, the main complaint I have is with wrong information from the internet department. I did all of my negotiating via the internet. The day came when I was ready to buy, and the internet sales department gave me a great price quote. Unfortunately, he did not check the inventory on the computer to see that the color vehicle I wanted was in stock. He told me they had the color in stock, and I came with my checkbook only to find out that car was "sold yesterday". I ended up buying a different color for a few hundred dollars less. Needless to say, I am happy with the car. I feel like I got a great price compared to "what others are paying" on the Edmunds site. The salesman (Jimmy) was very friendly, and I received the promotional APR that was advertised from the finance department. Like all dealerships, they tried to throw in gap insurance, window etching, etc... but I stood firm and had my monthly payments calculated before I came in so I knew what they should be. More
The entire experience was extremely pleasant. It took only one day to drive home with the new vehicle. My experience at Garden State Honda was very informative, all the questions were answered fully, and Jacob took the time to cover every detail. I was there for a defect in cosmetics on my new 2008 Honda Accord v6. It was fixed but should not have been an issue in the first place. The only problem I had with my Garden State Honda experience was that when my license plates came in, I couldn't pick them up at the dealership where I bought my car (on Route 3 in Clifton), but inst experience was that when my license plates came in, I couldn't pick them up at the dealership where I bought my car (on Route 3 in Clifton), but instead had to drive to a different dealership which was very inconvenient for me, as it was difficult to find and get to. I feel that they should have delivered the plates to the original location and allowed me to pick them up there. More
I moved to New Jersey in January and needed to find a dealer to service my Honda Fit, and Garden State Honda is near my house. Shortly after I moved down to New Jersey I had several recalls that needed dealer to service my Honda Fit, and Garden State Honda is near my house. Shortly after I moved down to New Jersey I had several recalls that needed to be taken care of,that could not be taken care of at that dealer ship, and the service provider assisted me in taking care of them quickly at another dealership. When my Fit died on Long Island, Garden State assisted me in purchasing a new Civic and gave me a great discount because I was an established customer at their Service Department. The sales man and service provider were exceptional and I will return for future purchases. I will only go to Shadi for my services because he is very friendly and quick. More
