After doing some online research about the Honda Odyssey Minivan, and after comparing the consumer report ratings between the Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna, my wife and I decided to get a quote from Honda. Considering that your dealership (Garden State Honda) has quoted a comparable price within the neighboring areas, and being the closest to our house, we made a stopped after work Friday, 11/08/13 at your dealership. It was Yul Levy, the sales consultant who was randomly assigned to us. He showed us the 2014 Odyssey EX-L, the car we are looking for and after a short demo, we came to the difficult part of the car buying process. The pricing Yul gave us was much higher than what we got on the quoted price by Mr. Michael B. I showed him the printed quote that I have with me, and Yul gladly agreed to the price as quoted with the accessories that we wanted installed on the minivan. Then, we expected a more difficult trade-in negotiation process with our 2009 Toyota Rav4 that we both can agree, but with Yul's professionalism as a sales consultant and his reasonable trade-in value offer to our car, we closed the deal without a hassle. My family and I originally went to the dealer just to look and probably test drive a vehicle, however, Rolando P. was helpful and sent me over to Johan P. to help my wife and I to answer our questions re look and probably test drive a vehicle, however, Rolando P. was helpful and sent me over to Johan P. to help my wife and I to answer our questions regarding the vehicle we wanted to see. We felt very comfortable with him as soon as we were introduced and started to talk about the vehicle. Since, we were with our 2 daughters, he even provided drawing booklet kit, offered popcorn, and coffee/hot chocolate for them and us, which is was nice, because it allowed us to focus and they were busy coloring. Also, he was very diligent when offered us to test drive the vehicle, showed us the vehicle inside and out, and explained the features of it as well. Afterwards, we liked the car and decided to negotiate the price of it, which he helped us build online because we wanted extra accessories, then, with the excellent offer we got, as he discussed it with Rolando P. it was a sale in our minds. At that point, we asked, "how much will our payments be?", and Rolando P. provided us with the details. Then, after everything was settled and all of the paper work was presented to us, in the midst of everything, we decided to trade in our old vehicle and that the point we thought, that they were going to get upset about it, but to our surprise they didn't. Johan told Rolando about it and we agreed on the price for it and the deal was settled all the way to the finance processed with Ali, Johan was very polite and diligent, he even drove my wife to get the title home and helped us move our belonging from our old vehicle to the new one. Later, when I came back to install the roof rails at the service department, Johan walked with me, introduced me to Andrew, and told them to take care of me and my vehicle. He also asked me if I wanted to wait for it, I was welcome to do it in the waiting area and have coffee and goodies, but I decided to leave and he took me home. Overall, at the end of the day our family was extremely satisfied with Johan's assistance, he treated us as part of his family as well as Rolando P. Also, we didn't feel pressured and buying experience was great, I would definitely recommend the dealer ship to anyone who wants to buy/lease a new/use vehicle from Garden State Honda. W.R More
