Strange experience My experience was very confusing. The part I found most confusing was that I had already looked up my credit score before going to the dealership a My experience was very confusing. The part I found most confusing was that I had already looked up my credit score before going to the dealership and found out that my interest rate is expected to be around 9%, give or take, depending on the financing company. When they ran my credit, they gave me this crap about how my credit score is actually much lower than what I thought, my source was wrong, and Honda was going to only approve me for like 25%. Honestly, I believed him, freaked out a little, and started scrambling for a potential cosigner, but then, somehow, 15-20 minutes later, I got approved by Capital One for slightly less than the 9% interest...which is exactly what I was expecting in the first place. I really don't know what that was all about. Part of me thinks it was a way to get me to agree to anything offered after that (I came in saying my budget is no more than $300/mo, but I walked out with a car for $350/mo), but at the end of the day I walked out with exactly the rate I was expecting, so I can't really complain. It was just bizarre. I mean, I know what the car sells for, taxes and fee's included, and I know I could have gotten the car for a little less because it was a 2015 model, about a month before 2016 is supposed to be officially released (many places have 2016 already), but I didn't get an unfair offer either. I drove 2 hours to get the car in this particular color, which the dealer was aware of, so it's not like there was really much incentive to offer me any deals - they knew I came in expecting to drive out in my new car. I can't say I had an amazing experience, but Jerry was very attentive and professional, and I rarely hear that anybody has a particularly great experience. I'm sure any issues I experienced were not his fault. I like that he had my phone connected to the car's bluetooth before Ieft, answered all of my questions, and responded well to my concerns. More
