Disappointing I wanted to express how disappointed and unsatisfied I am with Garden State Honda. I had called them to discuss a deal I had received from another dea I wanted to express how disappointed and unsatisfied I am with Garden State Honda. I had called them to discuss a deal I had received from another dealer and asked if they could be that deal. The young lady on the phone connected me with Ernest who seemed to be interested in making a sale. I explained to him the vehicle and deal I wanted and he was so confident in expressing that he could " SIGNIFICANTLY" beat that price. I express to him that I did not want my time wasted and would appreciate him keeping his word. He asked for me to make an appointment and he would be meeting with me the next day to discuss the sale. I arrived at the Garden State location for my appointment with Ernest I waited about 5-10 minutes and another young man approached us and said he would be helping us. He stated that Ernest would not be helping us at all. I thought he would at least show his face but that was not the case. We discussed our situation with the sales person and he went and spoke to Ernest to ask about our conversation. Again he did not show his face. The young man came back and asked what was the price we were looking for and I explained what I was looking for and he stepped away to speak with Ernest. After the second time he came back and gave me a number that was NOT SIGNIFICANTLY different than the previous price. I explained that to the young man and he went back to talk to Ernest who told him that he could not do anything else for us and that was the final price. Not to mention I was only there for about 30 minutes throughout this whole situation. I expressed my disappointment to the sales person as I felt I wasted my time and travel since I had to travel to get to the location. My biggest disappointment was that I realized Ernest was not looking out for the best interest of his customer but was just trying to make a sale any way possible. I asked the young man why Ernest did not show his face and he apologized and said he told Ernest to come down and introduce himself and speak with us but he would not come to meet us. I understand that maybe the deal really couldn't have been made but I when I was on the phone he could have told me that it was not possible. I was up front with him and gave him exact dollar amount given to me by other dealer and what I was looking for. The fact that he wasted my time, lied to me and could not even show his face was unprofessional and not what I expect from a " MANAGER". I will not ever step foot into Garden State Honda. It was demonstrated to me that they do not put the needs of the clients first and will lie to make and sale or waste Clients time. More
