Extortion, deception, unethical practices and unprofessionalism defines the recent downturn that Garden Grove KIA has gone through. My 2018 KIA Optima had a check-engine light running, so I decid unprofessionalism defines the recent downturn that Garden Grove KIA has gone through. My 2018 KIA Optima had a check-engine light running, so I decided to bring it to the dealership to address by making an appointment with their representative Jacob who was also going to work with my car upon that day. My car was dropped off by family and they stated they would call when they figure out what was going on with the vehicle. They stated that a “pump” that goes into my motor had to be “replaced” for “$2,580.” My family and I asked if it was covered by my warranty since it was still under 100,000 warranty and literally was in their care a month ago for an engine/motor recall that they told me to resolve previously. Jacob stated that he “did not check” if it was covered by warranty because “it would take me too long like 30 minutes to check that, so it’s $2,580….” So my family and I checked and it was covered by the warranty and had to educate him on that. Jacob was unprofessional and rude throughout the process and acknowledged that we were right, and stated we could not pick up the car for the evening and then stated we could and was going back and forth with information. Long story short he said they need to “keep the car.” Next day; Jacob calls and states that there is a “$900 fee” needed to “clean the smudge on the motor since the car is not well kept and oil not being checked.” Again another lie. I had documentation from when my car was recalled to be taken into the Garden Grove Dealership and copies of all my service reports from my car has been at KIA for oil changes and at another place I get oil changes, and my car has never missed it’s oil change (do it every 3,000 miles). Again with his rude behaviors and accusatory statements that the car was “unkempt,” but there is clear documentation that its had its regular maintenance. We asked for another employee Luis who was super supportive and helpful stating that Jacob was incorrect and that there was “no smudge” and the car is actually in good condition based on just “wear and tear,” but nothing major had to be done. They winded up charging me $180-ish dollars for an oil change and after 2 days I was able to get my car. So basically from trying to charge me $2580 + $900….. it was both a lie and covered by warranty……. WATCH OUT! Due to this experience I will never be buying a KIA Vehicle again, which is sad since our family has boughten 4 KIA Vehicles from this location. KIA Corporate needs to investigate this location for the unethical practices. More

He was incredibly knowledgeable about the vehicles available, patiently answering all my questions and concerns (by TEXT). What truly stood out was his transparency; there were no hidden agendas or pushy sales tactics. Instead, Josh provided honest information and guidance tailored to my needs. Kenny, the Finance Director exuded warmth and professionalism. He guided me through the financing process seamlessly, explaining each step clearly and ensuring I understood all my options. when needing help with my dim head lights and not having a service appointment & also wanting to get a Oil change ..your service Advisor Jocob Aguirre took the time to listen to my concerns about nig having a service appointment & also wanting to get a Oil change ..your service Advisor Jocob Aguirre took the time to listen to my concerns about night driving & the lights on my driver side being dim Jacob gave me options what can be done for the lights for me to be safe driving nights He Also suggested he could fit me in service for Oil change to save me from coming back again to get it done.. If I was willing to wait He gave me the approximate time my car would be done, & also I could use my Spring Summer Special coupon for the Oil change Jacob explained in details what I was getting on the car and when it would be done (and it was done on time) His customer service & politeness was A+ he also had me check the light’s before I left I also found all the Garden Grove KIA teams in the different Departments took the time to be friendly and in greeting me I drove home with a smile Thank You More
