On 3/23/2024, I purchased a used 2019 BMW X7 from them. After inspection and local test drive of the vehicle, all seemed well. When asked about the tire tread, I was told that part of their multi point inspection if it was less than half of tread life left, then they replace the tires. They assured with their multi point inspection that everything should be good. When negotiating price, they added dealer add-ons (as seems the common norm nowadays) which I refused. They took off the dealer add-ons and tried to make it seem like I was getting the vehicle at a cheaper price than initially advertised, which I was not. We agreed on the price and purchased the vehicle. When we noticed the vehicle didn’t have any floor mats, which is not unusual for dealers to take them out when on the lot, we asked about them and were told that if they weren’t in the back then it didn’t come with any. On our way home, I noticed a vibration in the steering wheel and the floor of the vehicle on the highway at 70+ mph. I thought maybe the wheels were unbalanced which would be looked at the next day when I was planning on going to America’s Tire for certificates and have them balance the tires anyway. Went to America’s tire the next day and was told that the rear tires were actually below 50% (3/32 & 4/32) and the fronts were near 50% (6/32 each) so I could not get the certificates on them. On 3/25/2024, when I went to drop off the check from my credit union, I advised one of the used car managers of the issue and was told to bring the vehicle in to take a look. Before I could bring the vehicle in, I also noticed that the vehicle would not update due to a low battery. On 3/28/2024, I charged it overnight and when I started the vehicle for a few minutes, the battery drained again therefore not holding its charge. Upon inspection of the battery, I observed it to be the original battery from when it was initially built (5 years old) and needless to say, on 3/29/2024, I had to buy a new battery for the vehicle. On 4/5/2024, I tried to have the wheels balanced anyway before taking the vehicle back to the dealer and was told/showed that 3 out of 4 of the wheels were not straight and true! Therefore they could not be balanced. I immediately went to the dealer that same day and spoke to the other used car manager and advised him of my findings. He was surprised about the battery because he said usually any signs of needing replacement, they would have replaced it. They took the vehicle to the back to check the wheels and tires out. He stated their technicians confirmed the wheels were not straight and true but said only two of them, not three. He said they were able to balance the wheels with weights, to try it out and let him know when I come back with the vehicle. He said he would talk to the other manager about the tires on how they would proceed and give me a call back. He also made no mention of doing anything about the battery I had to buy. I drove home that evening and the vibration was still very present. I also checked the tire pressures and it was obvious that the wheels were swapped around because the right tires were at 45 psi and the left tires were at 38 psi which the fronts should have been 38 psi and the rears at 45 psi! They didn’t even bother checking the tire pressures! It is now 4/9/2024 and have yet to receive a phone call from them. I would not expect such poor customer service and quality assurance from a reputable dealer and would not recommend them to anyone. More
