I trusted my dad's decision to find me a cheap car and the online price was promising. However once they had me and my family inside, Steven was my sales guy but we talked to a different sales person on the phone. He told us that he would honor the online price. But when it came to signing the contract, they fully took advantage of me and brought me alone to sign the contract and not fully explaining that the original 12,000 I thought I was buying my car for turned to 22,000. Then I bought the Car Care contract because they told me it was a good deal, but it has caused me nothing but trouble (its a third party contract.) When I brought my car for its first routine maintainance, they found an oil leak. I had to use a rental for 3 months (while paying off a car I cant drive) because they did not have the part to replace it. I filed a claim with Hyundai (its resolved now) but because of the stupid third party car care contract, I would've had to PAY THEM $1300 to return the car. I reluctantly took the other offer but had to keep my car. Ever since then I have to go through explaining I have a car care thing at every oil change because its not in their system. It was never explained to me that they have to call EVERY TIME I need to get an oil change. It doesn't even pay for other maintainance charges or taxes. I am now stuck with this car i dont love because I was screwed over by the people in RUSSEL WESTBROOK OF HYUNDAI IN GARDEN GROVE. More
If you’re planning to get from this Hyundai Garden Grove dealership, stop and read this review!!! I got the car (2017 Hybrid Ford Fusion) on August 15, 2020. The car had a check engine light 12 days aft dealership, stop and read this review!!! I got the car (2017 Hybrid Ford Fusion) on August 15, 2020. The car had a check engine light 12 days after! I was in the middle of I-22 when the scary red triangular warning “Stop Safely Now” appeared and the speed dropped to 40 miles per hour. In the middle of the freeway! Took the car back to them, all they said is “it happens, the car is a used one” and they advised us to take the car to Ford since it is still covered by a warranty. I got the car back one week after (September 3) and drove it again. But then it broke down again 8 days after!! The same warning came out but this time it was so much scarier – on the I-5; it happened at 10:30 pm and I was 50 miles away from home! Cops came to protect me from a possible sideswipe as I was on the breakdown lane, placed reflectorized triangles and stayed with me until Triple A arrived to tow the car and my boyfriend came to pick me up. The day after, I tried to communicate this to Hyundai Garden Grove, and all I heard from Sales Manager Robert (they won’t give me the last name) was “well, you bought the car as is.” I HAVE NOT EVEN MADE MY FIRST PAYMENT YET. He said he was not even apologetic. Yes, I was a bit emotional (I was crying, all things considered), but if I heard the word sorry I might have been pacified. I talked to a Consumer Rights Law Firm and they said we can file a case. It could be a long, strenuous one, but we can. I just need to get the name of the person I talked to. I called again, talked to a Javier and he would not give me Robert’s last name, and just calmly told me to let my lawyer talk to theirs. That was when I figured that these guys are so used to a lawsuit. I checked their reviews and saw that they do have hundreds of bad reviews. Even the sales process was horrendously stressful with these people. After we looked at the car the first time and gave them our offer, they texted us to come back because they agreed to the amount. When we got there, they tried all kinds of schemes to get you to pay more…up until the signing of the contract (which happened almost 4 hours after we arrived), they continuously attempted to put all kinds of add-ons. I do understand the process, though, because I guess that is part of car sales training – do everything you can to squeeze more from your customer. I can understand that. But to sell a car that would break down within days of the actual sale and not be sympathetic to your customer’s cause is INEXCUSABLE, INHUMAN, IMMORAL and a downright insult to U.S. BUSINESS ETHICS, HYUNDAI business ethics, HYUNDAI MOTOR FINANCE business ethics, RUSSELL WESTBROOK business ethics. So please do not even think about dealing with these people. More
Watch out when trying to buy a used car here. They will not honor the price advertised online. They add many dealer options to the car such as nitrogen in the tires, and GPS anti-theft system and insist that you overpay for them. In our case after an hour of negotiation on an Elantra advertised online for $13,000 they would only sell the car for $15,200, Haven't ever had a less honest experience in a dealership in over a dozen experiences buying used cars. Not even close. More
We spoke to the manager, Jim, twice before driving an hour and a half to pick up our car. We were told we had a deal, that they weren’t going to mess around with us, and that there wouldn’t be any hidden hour and a half to pick up our car. We were told we had a deal, that they weren’t going to mess around with us, and that there wouldn’t be any hidden fees. We show up, Jim is suddenly “super busy” and hands us off to someone else. We get in the car to take it for a spin, car is on empty. Guy drives us to a gas station, the company gas card doesn’t work. we sit and wait while he’s trying to call someone to find out why the card was declined. End up leaving, we have 15 miles left to drive, so we were fine to test drive. Get back to the dealership, ready to hand over the cash we had available. They say oh, we have some added protections- some GPS, paint protection, etc. raises the price 2500 (10%) off of the “deal” we had. We go back and forth, say we will go up $500 over the promised price, they say no and we walk. They called us, saying sorry, even though the general manager said we had a deal at 20,500 out the door, someone “higher up” changed their mind & they can’t do under 22k cash. We drove a total of 3 hours. Spent an hour and a half haggling, even though we had a verbal promise (which we confirmed TWICE) from the general manager. Terrible experience! More

I called twice to confirm the availability of the car before I came, advising them that I am more than one hour drive away. Both times, they confirmed the car is still available. I drove more than 1 hour arriving to this dealership to have them telling me the car was sold 10 minutes before i arrived. This is a old and dirty tactic that this dealer use against customers. They have no respect for their customers. Again, do not do business with these kind of people! More

My name is Michael Plasse and I want to tell you abot my experience in your dealership on 4/23/2020. I found an ad on Autotrader.com in which a 2018 Hyundai Elantra SEL (VIN: 5NPD84LF0JH358057 MODEL: 47442F experience in your dealership on 4/23/2020. I found an ad on Autotrader.com in which a 2018 Hyundai Elantra SEL (VIN: 5NPD84LF0JH358057 MODEL: 47442F45 ENGINE: G4NHJK048185 PORT OF ENTRY: MA EXTERIOR COLOR: SYMPHONY SILVER INTERIOR/SEAT COLOR: GRAY/GRAY) was advertised (and as of this very moment is still being advertised) for the sales price of $11,000. I called your dealership at 8:33am this morning, 4/23/2020 and spoke with Mohammad. He verified that the vehicle was there and that the sale price was $11,000 as the ad stated. He said he had the keys. I told him I would drive down there from my home which is 2 hours away from the dealership because I wanted to purchase it. I arrived at the dealership at approx 11am and found Mohammad. He showed me the car, asked for my license and let me and my daughter test drive the vehicle. I returned from the test drive and one again asked him the price of the vehicle, which he said was $11,000. He asked me how I was planning on paying for the vehicle. I informed him that I had my own financing in place from Altura Credit Union and I would pay the asking price of $11,000 but wanted that to be the “out the door” price including taxes, license and registration costs. He said he would talk with his sales manager, Mr Brett Anderson. After waiting around for 20 minutes Mr. Anderson approached me and said that they could not reduce the price of the vehicle below the asking price of $11,000 to accommodate my offer. I said ok and went to my truck to leave and go look for a different car elsewhere. A person named Shawn who said he was a sales manager approached me as I was getting in my truck and said he wanted to “save the sale”. I got out and spoke with him. He wanted me to let the dealership finance the vehicle for me and said he could not lower the price below the $11,000 asking price but would be able to get me a better interest rate on the loan effectively saving me the money I wished to save. I refused and went to leave again. He stopped me and said “how about if we split the cost of the DMV fees”. I had a printout of the DMV fees I brought to the dealership with me based on the VIN and asking price of $11,000 which showed the fees totaled $1056.00. I showed this paper to Shawn and I clarified that he was offering to lower the $11,00 sales price by $525. He said “yes”. I said that I would sit in my truck a few minutes and think about his offer and contact him when I made a decision. I thought about it and decided that was fair and went back inside and found Mohammad and told him that I agreed to Shawn’s offer. Mohammad said “so the total price is going to be $11525. I said yes and agreed and informed him that I wanted to make sure that both my daughters name and my name were on the title so we could insure it properly. He said “no problem, I will start the paperwork”. My daughter and I sat there another half hour waiting for the sales contract and instead of receiving the sales contract which we all agreed to Mr. Anderson came out of his office and informed me that the price of the car was now going to be $14,879!!!!! He stated that none of the “optional features” were included in the $11,000 price. I was so angry I didn’t say a word and got up and walked straight out to my truck and left your dealership. I pulled over a few minute later and called your dealership. Shawn answered. I asked to speak with the general manager or owner and stated I wished to make a complaint. Mr. Anderson then got onto the phone and asked what he could do to make things right and I told him to sell me the car for the price we agreed on. He stated that he couldn’t because that is a “base” price that doesn’t include all the optional features. I asked him to remove all of the optional features and honor the listed price on the online ad and our verbal agreement of the price. He said that would mean tearing the whole car apart because the optional features are part of the car. He told me to read the fine print on the ad which said that he can charge extra for any of the optional features above the vehicles “base” price and also stated “the dealership has many lawyers that have reviewed the fine print to make sure” they could raise the price sky high after getting the buyer lured in with a “base” price. He was basically bragging about his ability to bait and switch consumers. I told him that he was perpetrating a “bait and switch” and the dealership was falsely advertising the price of the vehicle and told him I wanted to speak directly to the owner/general manager of the dealership. He said I could not speak with his boss or anyone else higher then him. I asked for his boss’ name, he said Kimo. I said first or last name, he said first. I asked for the last name, he said he didn’t know and I couldn't speak with him anyway. I asked him to spell it, he said “KIMO, I don’t know”. I want you to know this is absolutely a horrible way to treat customers and is a classic “bait and switch” technique. I took screen shots and have printed out the ad both on Autotrader and your website. I have downloaded the vehicles window sticker which shows all the features Mr. Anderson was attempting to add on to the advertised $11,000 price are 100% “INCLUDED” with this vehicle False advertising is illegal. “Bait and switch” is illegal. Your dealership has broken the law and treated both my daughter and I in an appalling fashion. More
Shady dishonest, the whole team including the owner are liars, ditto on the last review, being a good lawyer and then walk out because that's what a lawyer would tell you, if there are any good reviews on liars, ditto on the last review, being a good lawyer and then walk out because that's what a lawyer would tell you, if there are any good reviews on here they are definitely fake, Hyundai you should be ashamed of yourselves to have a dealership like this. returning a car I had leases a car here 3 years ago. After the last payment, I visited this dealership to return my car. But I could not returned my car. They said I had leases a car here 3 years ago. After the last payment, I visited this dealership to return my car. But I could not returned my car. They said I should make an appointment with Hyundai Finance inspector myself in advance. It is ridiculous. I had a very very bad experience. They might refuse to receive the return car because I would not buy or lease Hyundai car again even if I leased my car in this dealership. So I visited Huntington Beach dealership and there was no problem to return the car at all. I asked them "Should I make an appointment with an inspector myself ahead?" They said no I need not. I do not recommend this dealership. They are not kind. They are rude. I won't never visit this dealership. More
