They will overcharge you! Took in for oil change they said I needed 60K service which would cost $2600 to do. Thought that sounded way to high, HB dealership did it for $500. When I said no to the $260 said I needed 60K service which would cost $2600 to do. Thought that sounded way to high, HB dealership did it for $500. When I said no to the $2600 the service person was rude. I wanted to talk to manager about trying to be overcharged by so much, but he was too busy to talk to me and never returned any of my phone calls. This dealership will rip you off! Be careful of them scamming you! More
Zero STAR! I went to service department for my Santa Fe 2015 engine noise and oil consumption at 9:30 am on 4/6/21. My service adviser, Norma told me the technician needs time to find out the problem, and 2015 engine noise and oil consumption at 9:30 am on 4/6/21. My service adviser, Norma told me the technician needs time to find out the problem, and I just came back home. She called me around 6 pm and gave information that my car's engine cilinder head should be replaced. She told me that the reapir service will be covered by warranty and taken about 1~2 weeks since it is major job. She said the dealer does not have any available rent car. OK. I undersood it was already 6 pm. No problem. Next day (4/7/21), I and my wife called to the service department around 11am~12pm. We talked to Norma (my serivce adviser), David (service manager) we rellay need a rent car for work and my kids riding. They said the rent car is still unavailalbe, but the car will be available late afternoon or tomorrow. On 4/8/21, the rent car was still unavailable. I went to service depratment and pick up my Santa Fe (still has engine problem) for my work and kids riding. I requested to Norma that give me a call whenever the rent car is available. She mentiend that the rent car will be prepared by tomorrow at least. Now, today, 4:25pm 4/9/21, the rent car is still unavailable. I contacted Norma and rent department. Nobody knows when the rent car will be available. I have three Hyundai cars (Elantra 2012, Santa Fe 2015, Sonata 2018). I like Hyundai and my cars. I strongly believe Hyundai cars' quality are getting better everyday, However, this dealer service is getting worse (I used this dealer service since 2012). I accept and understand that any car has problem whether is majer or minor job. But this dealer's service unacceptable. I do not think they can finish this engine repair in two weeks. Probably, this service will be my last one in this dealer. [Update] I scored 0 star for this dealer service on 4/9/21. The general manager (I am sorry but I cannot remember his name) called me around 6:50 pm on 4/9/21 Friday to follow up my survey score. He promised that the rent car will be prepared by 10 am on 4/10/21. After the phone conversation with him, Norma (my service advisor) also called and told me that the rent car will be prepared and the rent department will call me around 10 am on 4/10/21. But.... today is 4/12/21 (10:31am). The rent car is still not available. I left a message and my phone number to Norma around 9:07 am. No return call yet. No car yet. I do know what I have to do. Maybe I should go another dealer for my repair service. More
I had an appointment with Brandon to see a used Camry that was a unbelievable deal. I had ask him that the deal was too good to be true and why was there so many negative reviews, he reassured me that he that was a unbelievable deal. I had ask him that the deal was too good to be true and why was there so many negative reviews, he reassured me that he was the real deal and people never add positive reviews blah blah blah. I get to my appointment and of course the car had just been sold. We leave. A few days later Brandon emails my husband (we have different last names) asking him if he’s interested in seeing the SAME CAMRY !! If that’s not a bait and switch and don’t know what is. All they care about is getting a commitment. Not about what the customer wants. They wouldn’t give me any numbers and told me 5 or 6 times they would find out if it was certified presented and never did. what the customer wants. I have had a horrible experience from the start from when I bought my 2019 Elantra a year ago. First of all, we went into this dealership because my brother bought his car here. I trusted my dad's decision t I bought my 2019 Elantra a year ago. First of all, we went into this dealership because my brother bought his car here. I trusted my dad's decision to find me a cheap car and the online price was promising. However once they had me and my family inside, Steven was my sales guy but we talked to a different sales person on the phone. He told us that he would honor the online price. But when it came to signing the contract, they fully took advantage of me and brought me alone to sign the contract and not fully explaining that the original 12,000 I thought I was buying my car for turned to 22,000. Then I bought the Car Care contract because they told me it was a good deal, but it has caused me nothing but trouble (its a third party contract.) When I brought my car for its first routine maintainance, they found an oil leak. I had to use a rental for 3 months (while paying off a car I cant drive) because they did not have the part to replace it. I filed a claim with Hyundai (its resolved now) but because of the stupid third party car care contract, I would've had to PAY THEM $1300 to return the car. I reluctantly took the other offer but had to keep my car. Ever since then I have to go through explaining I have a car care thing at every oil change because its not in their system. It was never explained to me that they have to call EVERY TIME I need to get an oil change. It doesn't even pay for other maintainance charges or taxes. I am now stuck with this car i dont love because I was screwed over by the people in RUSSEL WESTBROOK OF HYUNDAI IN GARDEN GROVE. More
If you’re planning to get from this Hyundai Garden Grove dealership, stop and read this review!!! I got the car (2017 Hybrid Ford Fusion) on August 15, 2020. The car had a check engine light 12 days aft dealership, stop and read this review!!! I got the car (2017 Hybrid Ford Fusion) on August 15, 2020. The car had a check engine light 12 days after! I was in the middle of I-22 when the scary red triangular warning “Stop Safely Now” appeared and the speed dropped to 40 miles per hour. In the middle of the freeway! Took the car back to them, all they said is “it happens, the car is a used one” and they advised us to take the car to Ford since it is still covered by a warranty. I got the car back one week after (September 3) and drove it again. But then it broke down again 8 days after!! The same warning came out but this time it was so much scarier – on the I-5; it happened at 10:30 pm and I was 50 miles away from home! Cops came to protect me from a possible sideswipe as I was on the breakdown lane, placed reflectorized triangles and stayed with me until Triple A arrived to tow the car and my boyfriend came to pick me up. The day after, I tried to communicate this to Hyundai Garden Grove, and all I heard from Sales Manager Robert (they won’t give me the last name) was “well, you bought the car as is.” I HAVE NOT EVEN MADE MY FIRST PAYMENT YET. He said he was not even apologetic. Yes, I was a bit emotional (I was crying, all things considered), but if I heard the word sorry I might have been pacified. I talked to a Consumer Rights Law Firm and they said we can file a case. It could be a long, strenuous one, but we can. I just need to get the name of the person I talked to. I called again, talked to a Javier and he would not give me Robert’s last name, and just calmly told me to let my lawyer talk to theirs. That was when I figured that these guys are so used to a lawsuit. I checked their reviews and saw that they do have hundreds of bad reviews. Even the sales process was horrendously stressful with these people. After we looked at the car the first time and gave them our offer, they texted us to come back because they agreed to the amount. When we got there, they tried all kinds of schemes to get you to pay more…up until the signing of the contract (which happened almost 4 hours after we arrived), they continuously attempted to put all kinds of add-ons. I do understand the process, though, because I guess that is part of car sales training – do everything you can to squeeze more from your customer. I can understand that. But to sell a car that would break down within days of the actual sale and not be sympathetic to your customer’s cause is INEXCUSABLE, INHUMAN, IMMORAL and a downright insult to U.S. BUSINESS ETHICS, HYUNDAI business ethics, HYUNDAI MOTOR FINANCE business ethics, RUSSELL WESTBROOK business ethics. So please do not even think about dealing with these people. More
Watch out when trying to buy a used car here. They will not honor the price advertised online. They add many dealer options to the car such as nitrogen in the tires, and GPS anti-theft system and insist t not honor the price advertised online. They add many dealer options to the car such as nitrogen in the tires, and GPS anti-theft system and insist that you overpay for them. In our case after an hour of negotiation on an Elantra advertised online for $13,000 they would only sell the car for $15,200, Haven't ever had a less honest experience in a dealership in over a dozen experiences buying used cars. Not even close. More
