I contacted Danny, as I had always worked with him at Subaru Stamford. Since he left there, their service department has declined considerably. I did not feel comfortable the last few times I was there. Subaru Stamford. Since he left there, their service department has declined considerably. I did not feel comfortable the last few times I was there. Though Garavel is not as convenient for us, I reached out to Danny to look at my Outback. He and Rodrigo were very professional and assisted me with all my questions. Needles to say the amount of work that was needed, having only just had the car to Stamford Subaru about 3 1/2 months ago was incredible. (Had four new tires done at Stamford at the end of July- told it was needed before I had planned a trip away- meanwhile the shocks and struts were in terrible condition) I have scheduled our Legacy for service next week with Danny and his crew, and will continue to go there now than back to Stamford. More
Two things set this service department apart from, and puts them ahead of many others. First they LISTEN to your issues before recommending a course of action. Had 45K mi service performed. Rodrigo listed the recommended services, nothing excessive. Everything was done in time. The only reason for a "good" rating rather than "excellent" is the labor cost recommended services, nothing excessive. Everything was done in time. The only reason for a "good" rating rather than "excellent" is the labor cost. It's not the dealer fault though, it's the design. It's really complicated to do simple things on a Subaru like replace an engine air filter or a bulb. More
