I contacted them through their website, and they got back to me within minutes. This was my first time buying a car online, "sight unseen" online. I was a bit hesitant on the whole process, but Joe Zerbo was a pleasure to deal with - excellent, fast communication, and friendly. He worked with Tom to get me a great rate, great price, and a very fair offer on my trade-in. I even ordered a few extras for my car, which Joe made sure were installed before I picked the car up. The dealership was clean, and everyone from sales to service was friendly. I had been to a few other dealerships to test drive Foresters, and none of them seemed eager for my business. Joe and Tom at Garavel, however, were eager to please, and provided a great buying experience. They genuinely seemed like they wanted my business, and wanted me to be happy with my new car. And they delivered. Whether your're in CT, or out of state like me (NJ), I'd highly recommend Garavel to anyone looking for a new or used Subaru. More

Travis and I corresponded for a few days because I was out of town on business, and was quick to answer my questions. When I finally made it to Garavel Subaru Travis met me and introduced me to the nicest salesman I have ever met, Mr. Shawn Brown. I have bought plenty of cars from plenty of dealers, some good some bad, but Shawn stands out above the rest. After our test drive and a little negotiation I was sold. The vehicle needed two tires and Shawn was more then willing to add them into the deal even after we had settled on price. Had the experience ended there Garavel and Shawn would still get my full 5 star rating, but Mr. Brown was generous enough to take me to lunch whilst everything was sorted out with the car. Not only is he an excellent salesman but he certainly knows where to find a good burrito. Consider me a new customer for life. More

I had been looking at the Cadillac CTS4 as I drove by for a couple weeks and decided to stop in "just to talk"! One test drive later I was sold!! I'd like to especially thank Josh because he was running up and down the hill from the used car lot to the other building in the pouring rain- making sure I was OK and keeping me informed of what was going on- He even cleaned all the "junk" out of my trade in for me!! Buying a car on the INTERNET (???) well listen to my story. I live in Central Maine and promised my wife an upgrade to an all-wheel drive vehicle. Did all the research and looked throughout Maine for a Subaru Outback, at least a 2010, and less than 40k miles. For some reason, snow?, Subaru’s are a premium here which led me to consider the internet. While I work with computers and am very comfortable with purchasing items on the internet, cars are a big ticket item and doing it sight unseen is almost ludicrous. I settled on two options, one a private deal in upper New Jersey and the other with Garavel Subaru in Norwalk, Ct. There were pros and cons to both but the salesman I was dealing with at Garavel was the tipping point to my selection. Shawn Brown, a man I have never met before, instilled confidence and most important trust in a fellow individual. I was up front with him about my apprehension about purchasing online, sight unseen. Add to the fact that he asked if I could send him the money before the arranged date to pick up the car. Making arrangements to get any internet deal usually requires details about getting there. In our case we were flying out west and coming back into Boston on Labor Day. Shawn offered to drive the car to Providence, RI to rendezvous with us to complete the transaction. While it was not a condition for us to send the money before having the car he asked if we could do that, getting that uneasy feeling???, to help make his numbers for the month. This is where the trust I felt from talking with Shawn comes into play. Well everything went according to plan, sent the check, Shawn met us in Providence, and we drove home in a new Subaru Outback. We did have one issue and that was that there was one key and the valet key. We asked Shawn if they would provide another one and they agreed. It took a little while due to some weird circumstances but he came through on his word and to me that is what a positive purchasing experience is all about. We love our car and I would do it again if I were dealing with Shawn. He is a man of his word and sometimes you have to believe in the honesty of people. Thank you Shawn, you are a man of your word.
