I had visited Garavel Subaru to look at a pre- owned Forester and really liked it. I was treated fairly and promptly as soon as I walked in the door. I had been talking to Travis over the phone and when I arrived at the dealership he set me up with Dennis. Dennis was honest and straightforward which I appreciated. I test drove the vehicle and told Dennis I would confer with my wife and let him know after the weekend. Unfortunately over that weekend someone put a deposit on the vehicle. When I returned Monday Dennis and "BIG" Mike did everything they could to help me find another vehicle. Luckily for me that person changed their mind and my forester became available again. Needless to say I snapped it up quick before anyone could lay claim to it. We added a few options and picked up our car last wednesday and we couldn't be any happier. Each person we dealt with treated us like family. The entire experience was pleasant and I would definitely recommend friends and family to this dealership and certainly directly to Dennis and "BIG" Mike. More
I requested a quote online for leasing a 2014 forester. Travis got back to me 5 minutes after I requested the quote. He was very friendly and helpful. I told him this was my first time dealing with cars and he helped to explain all the car lingo to me. He walked me through leasing vs. purchasing options. He helped arrange a ride from the train station so that I could come in to the dealership. I live in Stamford and tried to get a quote there and have some questions answered as well. They were not as helpful or friendly over the phone. Travis followed up with me when he said he would. I decided to work with Garavel over Stamford because Travis made the experience easier and more comfortable. I then worked with Miles. Miles was also very helpful and friendly. He was able to answer all my questions and the deal we made on the lease was very close to what I had originally discussed with Travis. I enjoyed working with Travis and Miles. They were very nice, honest, and real. Miles even drove me home to Stamford after he got off work. I had a great experience at Garavel and would recommend the dealership to others. More

Just purchased a brand new 2014 Forester. From start to finish, sales process was exceptional. Joe Zinicola helped us over the phone, got us in, explained the advantages of Subaru vs Toyota rav4. He proceeded to have John take us on a test drive and show us all the options. The process was perfect and we were done within 90 minutes. I have bought all my vehicles from Joe, and again he and his team didn't disappoint. Trevor was a pleasure to wrap it up and we were on our way. Being a teacher in Stamford and a mother, my schedule is tight to say the least. The following day, Joe came to my school and put-on my plates in the parking lot and dropped off the rest of my documents, I left there. Not many people will do it. When you have so many choices, customer service and the person whom you are buying your car from is very important. The reason I bought my car from this place is the sales person`s knowledge, expertise, care; and Garavel also had the car I was looking for. The sales person was Gary Sajachmetovas. When I went to the other dealerships, I felt pressured buying the car from them but I did not feel pressured in this place. Gary wanted to be sure that my needs are being met and he even went beyond that; he educated me about the purchase, about things which are very helpful to know when you are buying a new car. These information were very helpful since I had no knowledge of purchasing a new car (this was my first purchase and by myself). Even though the sales person realized my ignorance of cars, he didn’t take advantage of the situation. He walked me through the whole process and he still gives me follow up calls making sure that everything is going well with my car and he is also available if I have questions. I see the prior customer reviews which are very old and those sales people don’t even work in this place anymore. this was the WORST experience I have ever had with a dealership. I saw a pre-owned Volvo XC70 for sale online and called the dealership to inquire about it. The woman I spoke to assured me that the car was in "MINT" condition..and when I asked if there were any scratches, dents or dings, she said "no". I told her that I would be traveling over 3 hours to get there and was very particular and wanted to make sure the car was in excellent condition, and once again, she assured me that I would not be disappointed. When I arrived at the dealership, I met a salesman who told me that he would be working me with me instead of Jessica, and when he showed me the car, I could not believe my eyes! I took one look at it and saw that there were missing paint chips on the door, scratches, and dings all over the exterior as well as many imperfections on the interior. I WAS LIVID! The salesman told me that obviously the woman I spoke to over the phone did not actually see the car, but was reading a description. He tried to calm me down and asked me what he could do (lower the price? fix the car?)...but I obviously could not make a deal with a company that would be so deceptive. The irony of the story is...when I spoke with Jessica initially, I told her that I had concerns about the dealership, as the they got very bad reviews on various websites and she assured me that those reviews were old and that there was new management....!!!!! I left and ended up purchasing the same model car locally. I would NEVER recommend or use this dealership and warn others to stay away from this dealership. More
