So, I bought a Mustang from Galpin a couple of days ago. I went specifically to Galpin because they happen to be the largest Ford dealership in the country and that being said, I wanted to see a large colle I went specifically to Galpin because they happen to be the largest Ford dealership in the country and that being said, I wanted to see a large collection. I was amazed at how many Ford’s I saw over there. Probably have over a hundred of just Mustangs. There’s tons more. I was extremely content with my experience and the level of customer service I received. Especially by Micahel Knerr, one of the guys working showfloor. He was absolutely amazing in every way and the kind of salesman I’d try to mimic if I ever wanted to be in the car selling business. This guy was straightforward, he was honest and not pushy at all. (which is definitely a plus). I never felt like he had other things on his mind. It was all about me; He was very focused on helping me. This is how I met Michael. I’m 18, and have been saving up for a car for a long time. I’ve always loved mustangs. My Dad is in the car business and used to sell Mercedez, and now just any kind of car. My dad wasn’t gonna pay for any part of my first car, and neither was my mom, so I decided, even when I got my license at 16, I was not going to buy a cheap first car. Some of you might say that’s foolish, but I wanted a nice car for myself to drive. I saved and saved and worked my but off, both from allowance savings and working as soon as I could get a work permit. When I got to Galpin I just walked around looking at cars. Most of the people there thought I was visiting with a parent and just happened to be browsing while that parent bought a car. Because of that, they paid me no attention. But, Michael. That guy noticed me looking at the mustangs and came over. We started talking cars, laughing. He was great. He enjoys cars, and knows a lot about them. He took me seriously as a customer despite my young appearance, which made me feel great! We looked at a couple of different models of mustang, different years, etc… and then I found the perfect one. I was sold on that Mustang right then and there, and of course, it was in my price range. So, then Mike went to work getting me the best deal he could. Man, can that guy work magic in his fingers and voice to make miracles happen. ?Guy got the paperwork done quickly and efficiently. Now I got myself I nice ford mustang to show off with. ?If you're seriously considering getting a car, call Galpin and ask for Michael Knerr. If you live a ways from Galpin ford, still go. It’s an amazing experience if you do it right. So call Mike. Let him know you’re schedule so you can figure out when you’d like to come in and what you're looking for, that way when you arrive he'll have had some time to check. He’ll look at what’s in their current inventory, what the available options are, and the incentives you can get, etc, all based on what you’re looking for, or he’ll look if you have no idea. Galpin is a dealership I think most people in Southern California know, but the experience of actually making a big purchase really gives you the biggest reason Galpin is #1 in the World. When you drive up to a dealership, throngs of sales people are waiting to speak to you. I had already planned the visit with Mike M. from a phone call made before going to the dealership. There were no fallen faces from sales people that thought "I" would be their sale. They escorted me to a waiting room, brought me water and made me feel good. Mike was an exceptional sales person. He wouldn't let me leave without showing me a difficult maneuver and he did everything he could to get me the best deal. That's the way I perceived it and perception is everything. Matter of fact, my own credit union didn't give me the deal that Galpin found for me. David in finance smiled through the entire process of me signing a multitude of paperwork and made a call to get my payments even better than we first thought. I didn't leave the dealership until after 10pm. My sales person Mike waited for the finale of signing and took me to my new used beautiful Mazda M5. He started his day in the morning and stayed through the entire process, in a great mood and all I can say is Thank You to Galpin. They're a dealership with the most excellent Customer Service I've ever seen. I cannot say enough about them. More

Both of those experiences were not overly pleasant and I felt as though I was a bit in the dark about features, warranties (if any), etc. Today at Galpin was the most pleasant car buying experience I have encountered ever. All the gentlemen, Terry, Gary, John (in finance) and David were pleasant, listened to my questions, and seemed to really want to make me feel like I was getting what I wanted. David especially took the time to explain features in my car, help me set up Bluetooth, and work to get the deal done with the specifications I had for my new car. I greatly appreciated that. More
