MY CAR WAS STOLEN FROM GALLERIA CHEVROLET ON 11/18/23 On Friday 11/17/23 my vehicle was brought to Galleria Chevrolet for a servicing/maintenance issue. The car was dropped around 7:30pm. The 11/18/23 On Friday 11/17/23 my vehicle was brought to Galleria Chevrolet for a servicing/maintenance issue. The car was dropped around 7:30pm. The keys were given to the service manager Ben, the issues were discussed, and I was advised it would likely be Monday before I heard anything back from them, which was fine. Imagine my surprise when I received a phone call the very next morning to inform me that my vehicle had been stolen overnight. Now one would think that when you drop off your car for servicing and it’s stolen that you would promptly receive a call from someone pretty high up to extend their sincerest apologies and assure you they are on it. Welp, one would be wrong! I called back to inquire more about what happened. Was my car the only car stolen? Yes. Were my keys still at the dealership? Yes. Has surveillance video been reviewed? No, only the owner and director had access to surveillance, and neither were there that day, but an email had been sent explaining what happened. That was the only information provided on that day. Sunday the dealership was closed. Monday morning comes and one may think after having your vehicle stolen a priority call would be made 1st thing Monday morning, AGAIN, one would be wrong! Since I had not received a phone call by 10am I went to the dealership. Once getting to the dealership I was advised to speak with Micah, the service director. I introduced myself and he wasn’t really aware of who I was. He told me when he arrived to work that morning, they were really busy in service, and he was assisting getting customers in and out (I guess as long as your car isn’t stolen you remain a priority) and he hadn’t had a chance to catch up on emails. Micah was very nice and assured me we were in this together, he would be in this with me from beginning to end. I especially appreciated his transparency when he let me know the security cameras were not the best and they may not have caught any activity overnight. Nonetheless he was going to speak with the owner that day to find out next steps moving forward. The next day (Tuesday-Day 4) Micah kindly emailed me to let me know he was unable to speak with the owner on Monday, but he would be sending him an email about the situation (maybe the 1st email sent by Ben on the day of the incident didn’t make it and a customer’s car being stolen isn’t like one of theirs being stolen so yeah, a 2nd email made complete sense). Because I want to give Micah the benefit of the doubt, perhaps his email is stuck in his drafts (happens to the best of us right) or was routed to the owner’s spam/junk folder because I have yet to get an update on that conversation as of today, 12/2/23. I did however receive an email from Micah on 11/27/23 (Monday-Day 9) to let me know that they did confirm with the assigned detective they did NOT have a camera angle that showed any activity. I’m not sure about others but I think it’s safe to say most people would’ve expected a different level of care/concern/accountability throughout this process. Of course, the insurance company will do whatever needs to be done in this situation, but I am pretty disappointed in the customer service from Galleria Chevrolet throughout this process. THIS OCCURRED ON THEIR WATCH. I’ve previously had my vehicle serviced at Galleria Chevrolet and had they reached out to me the number of times regarding my stolen vehicle as they did about completing a survey, I might not be writing this review right now. I entrusted Galleria Chevrolet to safekeep my vehicle while in their care and that did not happen. Use Galleria Chevrolet at your own risk, you have been warned!!! More
