Car sold out from underneath me The used car salesman (Diego) calls me back to report he has a used Ford Focus that we'd be interested in. We talk a bit about the price by phone and I let him know that we're interested. He tells me great the car just came in and the need to run it through the shop. A week goes by and I don't get any updates from him. The Sunday before my business trip to Boston, I text him asking for some pictures and an update on when the car will be through the shop. The following Tuesday I get a text from him that either the car goes to me or to the auction - when can I look at? I let him know that I'm in Boston and we can meet on Saturday. He texts "Yea of course. That definitely works". Everything is good to this point, we pick a time and I think we're all set. Again ask for more pics. Wednesday, 10am, another text "got busy will send, pics tomorrow. Six hours later, he tells me the cars been sold. What terrible customer service! No call back to let me know someone is interested. No first right of refusal. I could have had my wife and son, go over make sure everything was legit and we take the car home. I will not be going back to this dealership. More

Therefore I decided to try Future Ford, a partner site at the Roseville automall. The good: The sales representative John was dedicated and worked with me by phone throughout the week to find the exact cars I was looking for. He was attentive and empathetic to my particular needs. More than once He went the extra mile and brought cars from partner lots to look at and drive. In this fashion, he helped to build my confidence and trust while enabling me to have precisely what I wanted. While at the dealership, I found the staff polite, knowledgeable and professional. At no point in time did I feel pressured to buy something I didn't want or for example feel committed to stay, as I left to grab food at one point then came back. When I asked off the wall questions that most people wouldn't have an answer to, they had perfect answers with hands on experience yielding logical options for my planned future upgrades. Awesome! Ford's team collaborates like a dyno tuned 5.0. If one person didn't have an answer, through consolidated efforts and due diligence, they were able to quickly figure it out. I could sense their team strength, agility and passion for Ford vehicles, exactly what a consumer needs - experts that you can count on. After choosing a very specific car with unique options, working with both John and Robert, I found the pricing discussions to be courteous and respectful as we came to an aligned agreement. While in finance, the gentleman Winston clearly took time to explain each and every line, never rushing my decision. Everything in the contract was exactly what we had agreed upon. Furthermore, I had already spoken with my bank and everything was spot on. Honest, straightforward and friendly A+ customer experience. A few days later there was a slight snag in the plan due to a technicality but the guys at future ford swiftly eased any worries I had by giving clarity, keeping me informed and immediately resolving the issue which gave me a sense of their true integrity.
