Ordered my Explorer ST on 1/3 and it showed up 3/4 which was 4 weeks earlier than the dealer promised. A couple of dealer-added options have not come in yet but that is a minor issue. Came in for a specific service on a 2012 Mustang GT. Needed to have the EVAP system checked for blockage. Asked for all related lines to be checked for blockage. A week later , I had to call my self mul Needed to have the EVAP system checked for blockage. Asked for all related lines to be checked for blockage. A week later , I had to call my self multiple times because the service "advisor" Zejina wouldn't really follow up. Tech Jose states can't find anything wrong just a hiss noise above tank. They reply saying that the tank needs to come down since they can't see it. Will cost $1035 but covers the replacement parts .... Another week passes I call and get an update , it was one of fuel tank vent lines. (Mind you I asked them to check them first) they said ford is completely back ordered with no ETA on availability. I look up the service manual for the mustang and study the diagrams with the part number they gave me. Part is serviceable and viewable without bringing tank down. Stop by to see the melted part. Car is on the lift with the exhaust hanging. The fuel tank is miraculously up in position. Since they "began to put it back up". I look at the vent line in question. I asked tech Jose if it was even necessary to lower the tank and he admitted that " I realized that it was the hose after I brought down the tank and was like oh $h** " I look over to Zejina and she obviously knows that sounds like the tech messed up. I agree to fix the issue myself. I ask Zejina if I had to pay for the lowering of the tank if it was lowered on a misdiagnosis? She said I could get a discount but she still had to pay the tech for the hours. I get a txt saying my car is ready, no call, no update on the price. I get to the dealer, Xenia gives me a $1035 bill Says she can only do a $50 discount. I don't agree and ask to speak with service manager. Spoke with Eldin Pasic. Says he's speaking with the service advisor and see what they can do. Comes back saying that they had offered a discount already. Told him I'm not paying $1035, came back with an offer of $750....... I was frustrated and didn't see why I have to pay that much on a misdiagnosis. Eldin in an effort to justify their shady work said, your car was modified and not stock, it's old and he went as far as saying, " sounds like you did your research, why didn't you find the problem".... I told him to give me my car. He was rude but I held back. Took it home, lifted the car and fixed the melted vent line that touched the exhaust. Looked at the tank and the tank was never brought down... My ears turned red. That's why it was up when I came to see the melted line. Tank has dust and dirt on parts needed to bring it down. I paid for a service not rendered. Called Zejina, asked if they took pictures. No they didn't need to since the service bays are open and managers can see the work and she saw the tank down herself. She then replies in an email saying she doesn't appreciate me calling her a liar but i never did.... The service department must of thought they could charge for the extra cost of bringing a tank down when it wasn't necessary but didn't bank on Ford and all the dealerships being out of stock on the part needed to complete the repair. Be careful, a lot of bad dealerships out there. they made it known that they have to make their $ on the service side and had to pay their techs. What added insult to injury was the fact that anyone mechanically inclined can agree that the fuel tank was not touched or brought down.. there are no hand prints or witness marks on the tank straps and the torx bolt holes have spider webs on them. The Fuel tank is dusty and dirty and the Fuel Vent line that comes from the tank would have to have been touched to detach it and bring the tank down. If that was the case, the tech would have noticed the melted line before continuing to bring the tank down which is pretty evident that's what happened. stay away from this dealership. I am close to pursuing other avenues since one of the service advisors actually went and took a picture of the problem area and sent it to my phone when Zejina wasn't there on a Monday. The picture clearly shows that the tank wasn't down at the time as well and I have the picture and date as well. Zejina never followed up on the work, then ended up attempting to vouch for work not done since she gets commission off it. Eldin seemed willing to listen until he got defensive about his tech and then attempted to make some rude remarks about how I didn't find the problem before , sorry but that's what I was paying your "techs" for. Then had to make a very bad analogy about how to diagnose cars. How about you check the easy things for like the lines i requested. I haven't even heard from the service director which makes it seem they are all in on it. Be careful and try to get more than one opinion on repair work. They will charge you for services not rendered or needed. Shady tactics. I see why they have been in their position 10+ years. They seems to be good as this type of work... More
Went in for transmission fluid and filter change. Didn’t drive right so had another shop check fluid and found out auto trans fluid and filter was not changed but I was charged for it. Emailed and texted se drive right so had another shop check fluid and found out auto trans fluid and filter was not changed but I was charged for it. Emailed and texted service advisor but not return. Charged for work not performed. Also estimates and final invoice did not match but advisor still charged me the higher cost. I do not recommend taking vehicle to Frontier Ford service More
There is never a doubt that the repair is done by a trained mechanic, they know what they are doing. However, they are extremely overpriced. Ford dealer repair costs are way too expensive.
