Great job on service and ensuing unexpected return! I was in recently to get my 80,000 mile service. All went according to plan, and I was out in 2 hours. I drove around the corner to do an errand, and I was in recently to get my 80,000 mile service. All went according to plan, and I was out in 2 hours. I drove around the corner to do an errand, and when I came back out of the store, my car would not start! I tried multiple times, and called Toyota because I suspected something had gone wrong with the service. Eventually, after multiple tries, I got the car started, and drove back over there. Despite it now being after 4 pm, and no new customers being taken in, they were quick to look at my car, and diagnose the issue. It was completely unrelated to the just-completed service, but coincidentally, the after-market alarm system decided to somehow collude with the brake sensor to act up. It took a couple of very experienced guys to figure it out, but they did. It meant leaving my car overnight and getting a rental car (which a manager approved a 50% discount for the night, given the situation). It was fixed by the following morning and I had my car back by 11 am. Super-happy with the coordinating efforts by Ervin, the debugging collaboration of some of very seasoned mechanics, and the quick and friendly work of the two women handling the rental car process! More
