The day after my car got its regular service appointment and a new battery, my car literally stopped working on my way to a doctor's appointment with my son. I had just enough power in the car to get us off and a new battery, my car literally stopped working on my way to a doctor's appointment with my son. I had just enough power in the car to get us off the road. We were stranded for 3 hours waiting for a tow, and my son missed his appointment and almost an entire day of school. Once my car finally got back to the service center, it was discovered that an (?) alternator cable had come loose. It is hard to conceive of a universe in which this happened independent of the previous day's work at Freeman. Even if the cable had been a little loose beforehand (I informed my service agent that there had been some odd minor things happening upon ignition), I would think checking all contacts would have been a routine part of the car's service, and/or that this would have been caught as a part of the tech's observation that my battery was low, and/or that the contacts would have been checked following the installation of the new battery . . .However, I am strongly inclined to suspect sloppy, careless workmanship. I am thankful my car didn't break down suddenly on 820, when I initially left Freeman at rush hour, or I might not be sitting here typing this review. My husband and I were appalled by this experience, AND that I was asked after the problem was fixed, to sign paperwork releasing Freeman from any and all culpability in the matter. I left Freeman the second time shaking and needing to pull over to the side of the road to calm down before continuing home. I definitely have misgivings about continuing to work with this dealership. More
