My salesperson Mr. Jack Utz was so very kind and helpful in every aspect of my car buying experience. In the past couple of years I have been fortunate enough to meet the right salesman and been able to wa in every aspect of my car buying experience. I left several messages for Ken (General Manager) to call me regarding a 2011 Chrysler 300C I purchased and had problems with. I left messages for Ryan Russell to call me regarding the incorrect vehicle year on paperwork I signed on the replacement car. Calls were never returned. I left messages for Renee' to call me regarding to see if she had received the permanent license plate for the replacement car because the temporary tag expired on 2/12/2012. I finally got a return call from Renee' on 2/9/12 after I called on 2/9/12 and asked to speak to someone else and told her (I think her name was Sarah) about the non returned phone calls. I have got to say, I used to do all my own services on my vehicles, but with the ease and cost efficency of Gary Mathews in Nashville, it is simply smarter and easier to bring it in for their service dept to vehicles, but with the ease and cost efficency of Gary Mathews in Nashville, it is simply smarter and easier to bring it in for their service dept to do. They always let me know if there is something I should be concerned about with my vehicles and they are upfront with issues. I currently own 3 vehicles, '01 Ram 1500, '04 Dakota, and '07 Suburban and they are in the Gary Mathews service system. I have reccomended my son to bring his car there for service as well. More
I have owened my Sprinter for 7 years and have visited probably 15 different dealerships . No dodge dealership comes close to Matthews , Joey the mechanic is a highly skilled craftsman and takes the small probably 15 different dealerships . No dodge dealership comes close to Matthews , Joey the mechanic is a highly skilled craftsman and takes the small amount of time needed to relate to the customer and keep them informed of the problems . I have never been to another dealer where any one gave a da@# about me or my vehicle , the service I received was above the bar and saved me considerable $$ from what other dealers would have charged. I am so happy that I found this dealership. If I keep my sprinter for another 7 years no one but Matthews will ever touch it, and I will tell every sprimnter owner I encounter about them. they don't get 5 stars the get 500 stars, they are that much better . Having been a longtime Ford buyer (no more) I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and workmanship that the Dodge Challenger we bought has. It is a very underated car. We have owned several Mustangs and test drove several Camaros. There is no comparison, the Challenger hands down. This is my second purchase from Gary Mathews and the staff this purchase as well as the first (6 months ago) of a Dodge Caliber a very pleasant experience. Also Tanya, a sevice writer, at Gary Mathews made my service experience there also pleasant. She obviously was concerned and caring about my cars service. Another plus for Gary Mathews. More
My husband and I talked about getting a new vehicle for over a month. I went to a different dealer everyday and did alot of online searches. I recieved a call from Walter Whitehead to come in to see him, a over a month. I went to a different dealer everyday and did alot of online searches. I recieved a call from Walter Whitehead to come in to see him, after my next day arrival Walter was very helpful,he was very friendly and his attitude to make sure that I got the best deal possible was outstanding!!!!!!! I left wanting to keep my options and choices open and continued to visit more dealers. No other dealer compared to Gary Matthews! I recieved a follow up call from Walter to see if I had made a decision he asked that I come back in because he knew that I loved the Chrysler 200. I confirmed with him that night that I would be back in the following morning to buy that car. The customer service from the staff was excellent. I have bought a few cars/trucks in the past and no other dealer compares to Gary Matthews. I would recommend this dealer to everyone if your looking to purchase a vechile and you will certainly be in good hands if you talk to Walter Whitehead. I met with Chris Jones on 11/17/11 after inquiring about a truck on-line. The color was not my preference. He found truck meeting my needs at a dealer in Decatur, AL. I told him I was leaving town on 11/ a truck on-line. The color was not my preference. He found truck meeting my needs at a dealer in Decatur, AL. I told him I was leaving town on 11/18 at noon so if the truck was not available by then, I would not be able to take delivery until 11/28/11. He promised to call me early on 11/18 and let me know status. He didn't call so I called and spoke with Donnie who promised to let me know shortly when the truck would be available. He called me back and said it would not be ready on the 18th so I told him I would take delivery on the 28th. I received an email from Donna Haley on 11/18 asking me to evaluate the dealership. I responded that I would do so AFTER taking delivery (she had not been informed that delivery had not occurred yet - lack of communication by Chris). On 11/22, I received a telephone call from the Business Mgr. asking if I could bring-in the title for my trade-in that day. I told him I was out of town until 11/28 (another lack of communication). On 11/25 I spoke with Donnie to confirm the truck would be available on the 28th which he did. On 11/28, I arrived at the dealership at 9:30 a.m. Chris asked if I could wait for the truck to be detailed - HE HAD ALL WEEK TO COMPLETE THIS! Since I was going to have to wait, I asked if a couple of accessories could also be installed. When the service writer told me the accessories had been installed, I asked if the truck had been detailed and she said it had not been done. Chris was no where to be found so the service writer said she would have it detailed. When the detailing was finished, I asked if Chris was going to give me an orientation on the truck. He was "at lunch" so Joe Chandanais gave me the orientation and also took the truck and filled the tank. I finally left the dealership at 1:30 p.m. (4 hours - accessories took less than 1 hr.). The detailing was poorly done - carpets were not clean; windows were dirty, scuff marks on the doors, etc. Seriously doubt that I will every purchase another vehicle from Gary Mathews dealership. Get Chris Jones some remedial training on customer satisfaction! More
When it seemed we could not agree on price, Walter worked on the figures and we came to a point where we could agree. I came up a little and the dealer came down a little. After an unpleasant experience with a nearby Chrysler dealer, we started using Gary Mathews of Nashville for routine maintenance work on our 2006 Chrysler 300C and were very satisfied. We made a 1:30 p.m. service appointment with Gary Mathews on Oct. 11, associating some noises with braking. Finding nothing wrong with the brakes, a nice technician took us on a test drive. Listening to us, he soon made the noises happen at will and assured us he knew the problem. (Did not catch his name, but he was impressive.) However, when we got an estimate of the repair costs, it seemed reasonable to look at a new car. The Service Manager quickly introduced us to Dulce Cadogan. I am a strong supporter of the ERA, but never had a woman sell us a car before, but Dulce or "Dee" confidently demonstrated her abilities as she narrowed down our specifications. Patiently presenting choices on the computer and shuttling cars back and forth on the lot, Dee helped us determine what we wanted and it was on the lot. By now it was 5:30 p.m. and we were exhausted. Although we told Dee we were ready to buy the 2011 Chrysler 300C, we thought we should go home and sleep on it. Dee sympathized, but brought Sales Mgr. Scott Craig over to convince us that we should drive the new car home. Scott expressed concern that our old car was not safe to drive. While we signed papers with Scott, Dee moved our personal items to the new car, exchanged the license plates, and had the car detailed. Before we left, Dee connected my cell phone to the blue-tooth connection and reviewed the changes between our '06 and the '11. She has since called to learn if we have any problems. We don't and are very happy with our car and Gary Mathews Nashville. More
