Never Again I saw a great price on a used car online and bought it. A used car is a used car so I'm not upset that it needed some work, I'm upset about the lies I I saw a great price on a used car online and bought it. A used car is a used car so I'm not upset that it needed some work, I'm upset about the lies I was told. The car initially wouldn't start so the salesman said he would replace the battery. And of course, since the battery was completely dead at the time I drove it, the check engine light was not on because the OBD diagnostic computer in the car had not reset itself. The salesman had the car taken to service before I bought it. He told me that the service department tested the battery and it was fine. Someone had left the dome light on from the night before. This was a lie. A week after I bought the car I had to replace the battery. Also, the dealership had not taken the car through emissions testing, and since the battery had been dead, I had to wait a few days before I could take it through emissions. Before I could do that, the check engine light came on. I called the salesman, he said to bring it back and they would fix it. Their "fix" was to disconnect the battery. As soon as I had driven it long enough, I took it through emissions and it passed. I barely made it out of the lot from the emissions station before the check engine light was on again. I have had the car for 13 days today and the salesman called to tell me that he needs copies of utility bills and a landline phone number to my place of employment. All this information was already supplied during the credit application process. And speaking of credit, I had a HORRIBLE interest rate with their subprime lender so I was lucky enough to get it refinanced before the interest started to accrue. When I mentioned this to the salesman (because he was asking for information to supply to the original lender) he acted as if I had done something wrong by refinancing a vehicle with what should be an illegal interest rate. That leads me to believe that they deliberately placed me with a subprime lender so the dealership could get a kickback from the high interest. Again, I made my own choices so I accept my responsibility. But the blatant lies from the salesman are inexcusable and I will NEVER purchase another vehicle here. More
Horrible First Experience Buying My First Vehicle I saw a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was listed online and I drove from Clarksville to look at the Jeep. The salesman told me that it had a "brand new" (t I saw a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was listed online and I drove from Clarksville to look at the Jeep. The salesman told me that it had a "brand new" (those were the exact words) battery and a few sentences later he said "just let it run for a bit" (in the back of my head I was thinking if it's a new battery, it doesn't need to run and I never said anything)..I ended up buying the car, drove it back to Clarksville, about an hour drive, and as soon as I tried to start the vehicle again, the battery was COMPLETELY DEAD! I called the dealership and they said to drive back up there and they will give me a "brand new, never used battery" (again, those were the exact words)...This happened in January 2013...Just yesterday, July 6, 2014 my car wouldn't start. I took it to my friend who is a mechanic and he said it was the starter. So I paid to have a new one put in. I double checked to make sure that it had nothing to do with the battery and the battery he pointed out that the battery a sticker on it that said "12/12"...December 2012...A "brand new, never used battery" was supposed to be put in January 2013. So untrustworthy, unethical, unprofessional! I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone! Oh and I never got a second key like they promised. Never even got a call back and when I called he was "working on it". It seems they're more concerned about they're quota than pleasing their customers. More
Stay away from this stealership Wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Extremely rude. Extremely slow. Do not keep up on their machine maintenance. Ruined my vehicle key. Then wa Wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Extremely rude. Extremely slow. Do not keep up on their machine maintenance. Ruined my vehicle key. Then wanted me to still pay for it. Thieves. I will also be contacting Chrysler headquarters and letting them know about this issue, especially about the parts manager at this location. Unprofessional. More
Need service or repairs? Warning... go somewhere else!!! I took my van in for a possible leak in the cooling system; I could smell coolant burning on the motor. I also wanted the suspension checked to make sure everything was safe. I had NO reason to believe it was not. However, I was going to pass my van onto my daughter and I wanted to have the van checked first. BAD mistake. DON”T have this place check your vehicle for anything unless you have plenty of money to pay for something... and they will find something, or tell you there is something. I ended up having to pay well over $2000 for repairs and after they had the van for EIGHT days for simple repairs, there were more problems with the van than when I took it in! They told me that I could bring it back and they would make more repairs… WHAT!!!!!!!! Of course they will… they apparently caused the problems! But, they were going to charge me for the repairs because it would be different repairs than what they had already done. I could go on… oh, BTW, I had to pay for them to troubleshoot the cooling system and for them to replace a VERY expensive radiator and pay a LOT of money for them to replace it, and STILL have the burning smell of coolant. What’s up with THAT! As far as the “Friendliness.” I give Tonya ten thumbs up. She was great… but the others… NOPE… they need lessons from Tonya. More

Buyers beware. Salesman Jim will tell you anything to get you to purchase a car from them. Their promises don't come thru. Just purchased a 2014 don't even have my tags yet & had a piece of wire in side of you to purchase a car from them. Their promises don't come thru. Just purchased a 2014 don't even have my tags yet & had a piece of wire in side of tire. They refused to replace tire. Only have a couple of hundred of miles. Brand new car & they will not warrant their tires. Not only did things that were in the car when I test drove it were removed the fluids were low and now I am suppose to give them more $ to purchase a new tire. No way. Another man was speaking to me while I was there & he said when they changed his oil the didn't tighten up something & his oil ran out doing damage. He was there getting a refund on that problem. Another person stopped me and asked why they wouldn't just replace the tire that it would be the right thing to do since I was never offered any tire warranty I was only told several times by the salesman Jim that they carry lifetime warranty that no one else has. We took a check from our bank so Al made the comment that because we had a ck from our bank instead of financing with them we weren't offered this. That is wrong considering now I will be speaking to an attorney about this dealership. They also took out the floor mats and a bottle of some kind of cleaner. I ended up with rubber mats which were better but the fact that they take things out of a car after you test drive it is awful. Do not trust this dealership. They just want the $$ you can give them. They do not care about the customers. I will tell everyone I know do not go there unless you just want to give away your $$$. More
I would RUN AS FAR AND AS FAST AS I POSSIBLY COULD FROM THIS DEALER AND SERVICE DEPARTMENT--------------------------2011 Jeep Liberty, Check Engine Light on. Call dealership on Wednesday, talked with Tonya THIS DEALER AND SERVICE DEPARTMENT--------------------------2011 Jeep Liberty, Check Engine Light on. Call dealership on Wednesday, talked with Tonya. They can't do anything today but will get right on it Thursday. Brought it in, went in service enterance, 1st service podium, asked if I was there for oil change, stated no and was pointed to move down to the 3rd podium. Waited until he got off the phone and told him I had talked with Tonya and before I could even tell him what the issue was, he said she is out on the lot I think and will be back, pointed towards the center service podium. After 10 minutes and no Tonya, he said let me look for her. He came back unable to locate her wrote my information on the form and took my keys. I never heard from Tonya Thursday morning, so I called her and after 10 minutes on hold, she did not know anything about my car other then she did see the tech driving it around the lot. She was going to check and call me back. No return call. When I did call back, service was already closed. I called Friday morning, still no answer as to why the check engine light was on, trying to find and talk with the service tech, will call you back. No call back. When I called back later Friday afternoon, was told closed and had to say that was unacceptable. Tonya gets on the phone, with no explanation other then the service tech had gone and locked my keys in his work box and she had no idea what was wrong with my vehicle. She went on to say that it was thought to be a CarMax vehicle and they (CarMax service) are not a priority to them and that was probably what the issue was. There was no way to get my keys and they were trying to call the service tech. Would call me back....Guess what???? No call and by this time, yes I did lose my temper. It is absolutely the worst car customer service I have ever experienced. They never could reach the service tech which meant that my car was there through the weekend and after a one hour repair job, guess what......my car was fixed and could be picked up!!!! I would run as fast and as far away from this dealership and service department as you can. I did write to the General Manager and he did have someone from the service department call me to apologize. It meant nothing what so ever. They had my car 4 days for a one hour repair. Lousy Lousy customer service. I did explain to the person that did call, that if my Jeep ever needed specific dealer repairs in the future I would drive it or even have it towed to anywhere else but them. I would never darken their service or dealership door again. More
General manager was very rude, if it werent for the sales person I would have walked out. I ask that the repairs be completed on the car I wanted to purchased to release the service errors his words were "I person I would have walked out. I ask that the repairs be completed on the car I wanted to purchased to release the service errors his words were "I am not going to spend 300 dollars for a repair on an 08 vehicle). My respond was "I am not trading in a car with a service error so I would like the same in return. I felt he didnt care, and made me feel like I was bothering him by asking such a request. He basically yelled at me like I was a child he was chastizing. I work on a military installation and I am sure word of mouth would not be a good thing for either of Gary Matthews dealerships. I just want my vehicle taken care of and my experience there to be one I could share with others in order to generate more business for this company. My ratings was for the saleperson Lavell not the General Manager Bill for his terrible customer service. More
If you're LOOKING FOR INTEGRITY during your car buying experience, you may want to LOOK ELSEWHERE. Direct salesman was fine and knowledgable. When I expressed concerns about room for child seat buying experience, you may want to LOOK ELSEWHERE. Direct salesman was fine and knowledgable. When I expressed concerns about room for child seats his manager questioned my kids ages and the suitability of the seats they were currently in. In a last effort, they asked if I wanted to keep the vehicle overnight. I agreed. Found it with an empty tank of gas and when approval was needed to fill it, the manager said he'd reimburse me if I bought the vehicle. Way to close a deal. Bought from Beaman Toyota - exceptional experience. More
Our salesman (Daniel) was not at all "pushy" and he was very helpful and courteous. We were given a great deal on the vehicle we wanted.
