The dealer has a coverage plan that is supposedly required with every purchase (it covers dents, dings, windshield cracks, flat tires, etc.), but I was told up front about the cost of this plan when I inquired about the final cost of the car BEFORE entering negotiations or even test driving. I wish I could have denied this coverage to save money (I didn't want it), but I at least appreciated that they told me about this additional cost when I asked them outright about fees beyond the price of the car. The staff were also very professional and friendly. Lastly, they washed the car before I took it home, which was very nice (and I didn't even have to ask for them to do this). More

I test drove two vehicles & used the brochure to determine all the features that I would like in my vehicle and then proceeded to negotiate price. Started off great, but ended not so great. The day of the actual negotiating and purchase went pretty well. My mother and I were satisfied with the way that it all went, and I was very happy wi The day of the actual negotiating and purchase went pretty well. My mother and I were satisfied with the way that it all went, and I was very happy with the car itself. The problem did not arise until a few days later. I received a phone call from the salesman that sold me the car, and he requested that I stop by and sign a couple incentive forms that he forgot to have me sign the day of the purchase. He told me I would also need to bring in my LES (I'm in the military) and my old car's registration. When I asked why he would need the registration, he told me it was so I can receive one of the incentives I was eligible for, but then he said I already received the incentive and they just needed the registration now for their records. Since I ended up not trading in my old car to them on the day of purchase (we were disappointed with how much they were giving us for it, so they had to redo the contract), my mother (who the old car is registered to) thought they were trying to be sneaky. So my mother declined to give them the registration, but asked if I could perhaps bring something else in to suffice. The salesman and his manager told us that because the incentive was included in our negotiated price, we would have to owe them $500 if we did not bring in the old car's registration. So the verbal disagreement became a shouting match between myself, my mother, and the manager. The phone call ended with the manager saying he will not send me my registration and license plates for my new car and me telling him we would see him in court. The next day, I spoke with USAA (who I got the TrueCar car quote from), and they contacted Action Hyundai on my behalf. They got me in touch with one of Action Hyundai's sales managers. He was really nice and clarified everything. Turns out, we just misunderstood their intentions for asking me for my information post-contract-signing. For my personal records, I requested that he send me a signed itemized list of the incentives I received for my car, since they were not itemized on the contract. He did so with no complaint, and I sent him everything they requested. So the situation was settled, but my mother and I still feel very uneasy that the conversation between us and the other manager got very unprofessional. Overall, great service from most of the staff, but certain individuals should work on their customer service. More
