From the second I got there, Frank was all about finding out what I wanted in a car first and then showed me my options. His knowledge of all the cars was incredible and his customer service was beyond exceptional. There are so many car salesmen who are pushy and only show you the car that they want to see but Frank made the experience all about my wife and I. To anyone that is looking to buy a car and wants to share this great experience I highly recommend going to this dealship and speaking with Frank Butnaru. He will be honest and will make you feel comfortable. We bought a Jetta and are very happy with it. Thank you Frank, you're the best! More
I recently purchased a new VW CC from Fox Valley. No big deal except I drove from 5 hours away. I initially called Fox Valley when I saw them in AutoTrader and I wanted to get a quote so I could keep my loc deal except I drove from 5 hours away. I initially called Fox Valley when I saw them in AutoTrader and I wanted to get a quote so I could keep my local dealer honest price-wise. (Like most people I presume, I would have been willing to pay a few hundred more to buy it from the local dealer.) When I called, I spoke to Gina Book. She was extremely pleasant, answered my questions, and found the answers when she didn't know them. She also went completely out of her way to take a photo of the new wheels that are offered for 2011 and email it to me since my local dealer didn't have any for me to see. On her day off, rather than make me wait for a day for her to return, she referred me to her associate, Katie Roberts. Let me tell you, it would be a close call to choose who offered better service between the two. So, in the end, I chose to make the five hour drive to buy my car from Fox Valley instead of the local guy. Even though my local guy offered to virtually match the price, I've never had service that even comes close to the service Katie and Gina gave me. When I made it to the dealership at 5:30pm on a Saturday night, aside from being personally greeted by both Katie and Gina, I was fortunate enough to meet one of the managers, Christina and one of the owners, Shaq. They were a great group of people that actually made it fun to buy a car. (yes, you read that correctly.) While I was there, another salesperson, Justin, and a gentleman from the detail department helped me transfer all of my belongings from my trade-in to my new CC and stayed 2 hours late just to make sure I was completely satisfied and had all of my questions answered. Both Katie and Gina have been in touch with me since the sale. I've purchased about two dozen vehicles over the years and this was far and away the best experience I've ever had. I am rating them 5 stars only because I'm not allowed to rate them any more. Keep up the great work, Fox Valley! More
My visit was initially for service. Given the severity of the problem, I decided not to repair the car. Mario in service referred me to Fernando and Frank in Sales. He considered my dilemma and worked on a deal to help me replace my car with a good pre-owned vehicle. In addition, Shakeel and Fernando drove two cars from one dealer location to one closer to my home so I and my family members could check out the vehicles. More

This dealer was great when they opened but are no longer customer oriented. They completely ignored when I came into the service department though there was no one else around. They kept working on their p customer oriented. They completely ignored when I came into the service department though there was no one else around. They kept working on their paperwork - never said "I will be with you in just a second." It was as if I didn't exist. Finally after about 10 minutes they grudgingly acknowledged my presence. I had 2 VWs and one came off a lease. When I went to the dealership to turn in the car, though I had made an appointment and asked for transportation back to my house, they acted as if I was lying when I said that I had arranged the transportation with the manager they acted as if I was lying and said that they didn't give people rides when they turned in their lease. Finally after begging and groveling, they finally agreed to take me the 3 miles to my house. Another time was going out of town the next morning and would be away for several months & my turn lights suddenly went out. When I called and asked if they could take a look at the car, they were rude and said that they couldn't look at car for several days and didn't care if I was repeat customer. I finally took off the fuse panel and fixed the problem in 2 minutes - loose fuse. I am selling my VW and will never buy this brand again due to poor service - though I have owned 4 VWs in the past. Took my Passat in for its 20K service and some warranty issues as well. I was going out of town on a business trip so they had the car for three days. Upon my return (a Saturday), I went to the cashier to issues as well. I was going out of town on a business trip so they had the car for three days. Upon my return (a Saturday), I went to the cashier to pick up the keys and pay. I realized I had forgotten to give the service writer a discount coupon when I dropped the car off so they had to redo the paperwork. No problem. All of the warranty items had been addressed and repaired, except for one item which they said was operating normally. They also fixed a problem that I didn't ask them to, but really did need to be repaired (under warranty of course). The service invoice was very detailed and described all of the mechanics observations and what was done to repair each problem. I really liked this. This was a much better experience than I have had at some other VW dealers and I will definitely be taking my car to Fox Valley for Service again. More
This dealership scammed me. They let me buy the car with certain financing, then they called me back a month later to "sign new docs" for a new loan. APR went up 5.1%, term went from 72 months to 48 months certain financing, then they called me back a month later to "sign new docs" for a new loan. APR went up 5.1%, term went from 72 months to 48 months, and my payments jumped $150/mo. When I said no way, they held my large downpayment hostage. They played games. Steer clear of Fox Valley Volkswagen! More
