Customers service was outstanding. We could not have asked for a better car buying experience. Jesse worked with us until we could come up with something that worked for all of us. Drove up to this dealer to look at a Ford Escape. After driving it I decided I did not like it at all. Amber was really awesome about helping me find a car in my price range. I ended up test-driving a 2007 driving it I decided I did not like it at all. Amber was really awesome about helping me find a car in my price range. I ended up test-driving a 2007 Nissan Murano and loving it. It was a little high in milage (83,000), but seemed pretty comparable for an SUV in that price range (14,500ish) at other dealships (ah the power of google on my phone!). Amber, her manager and the finance guy were able to work with me and my financial situation so that I could feel comfortable buying the car (without being stuck with a long loan!)and I felt no pressure from anyone while I was there. We had to wait a little while because they were super busy (and their parking lot is small, so it may be hard to find parking), but aside from that, the experience was fantastic. Glad I picked Amber and Tynan's to make my purchase! More
Epilogue: I was invited to leave feedback by Tynan's at this site. I replied to them with what is below. I haven't received a response in two days, so I am submitting this statement to this website. S this site. I replied to them with what is below. I haven't received a response in two days, so I am submitting this statement to this website. Summary: Poor negotiation experience, including misrepresentation of the cost of a required repair. My experience with Tynan's Kia up to the negotiation phase was fine. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Their inspection worksheet didn't report any problems of the car. I drove the car and knew the clutch was fried, and I also found a rattle at 40mph in 3rd gear. I found it odd that their inspection sheet reported neither. They let me borrow the car to have another shop look at it. The other shop confirmed the clutch needed to be replaced, and that the catalytic converter probably had something loose inside creating the rattle. I told Salesman X that I would buy the car if they fixed the clutch and the rattle. He went away and came back with the deal in the window, and said "Congratulations! We got your deal!" and shook my hand. There was no mention of the clutch or rattle. I told him again that I would not buy the car if the clutch and the rattle were not fixed. He pointed out how much lower than "book" value the car was, but of course he didn't include the $499 dealer handling cost in that assessment. He repeated that analysis several times during the negotiations. After insisting that I wouldn't take the car without a new clutch and fixing the rattle, he took that information and came back and said, "Congratulations, we got your deal!" and shook my hand. This time, he said they would fix the clutch if I paid for parts, which was almost $700 dollars. They would not fix the rattle because the catalytic converter was functional--darned annoying but functional. Fine. I gave up on that. I said I wasn't going to pay for any of the clutch. He pleaded with me that I had to give him something to go back to his manager with, and he suggested that I pay for 1/2 the clutch. I said I would pay $200 of it. I must be going soft in my old age because I felt sorry for him and his relationship with his boss. He came back and said---you guessed it--"Congratulations! We got your deal!" and shook my hand. I guess I thought he meant it this time, because I didn't add it all up. I said OK, let's sign the paperwork. I started signing the paperwork and noticed that I was paying for more than 1/2 of the $700 for the "clutch parts". (Salesman X did the financial paperwork too). When I complained, he said look, you agreed to this deal, and this is the amount we agreed to. He was of course correct, but I had made the mistake of trusting him. I should have walked away right then, but I needed the car and the cost of the car was OK. They discovered the clutch was completely fried when they took it apart. I don't know why they couldn't tell when they made their inspection. It was really obvious. They fixed the clutch, which works fine now, and I asked the service department how much a clutch kit is. He said $200-$300 dollars. That really made me mad. I went onto froogle.com and the *most* I could pay for a clutch kit for the car was $350 dollars. No one followed up for a week after the sale of the car, which was disappointing. The car only came with one remote and one key. I thought I would just go to the hardware store and get another key made, and we would be OK if we lost the remote. I did get some copies of the key made. It turns out that if you lock the car with the remote, and unlock it with a key, the alarm will go off. I don't know if anyone at Tynan's would have known this, but at any rate, I had to go online and figure out how to disable the alarm without the remote. The car didn't come with an owner's manual. I'm sure the neighbors were impressed while I figured that out. In the end, I wound up paying about book value for the car, when you include the $450 I paid for the clutch and the $499 dealer handling. In the end, the deal was OK and no better by money standards, but the way I got there was not good. John More

This was my first time looking into buying a car... The poor sales associate was new and couldnt answer any of my questions about leasing vs buying, the difference between the 2 cars I was interested in, e poor sales associate was new and couldnt answer any of my questions about leasing vs buying, the difference between the 2 cars I was interested in, ect... The sales manager had to step in to assist in the sale and I felt very pushed and uncomfortable.. I told them from the minute I walked in what I could afford as far as payment and money down. The sales manager wanted to continue haggling with me and when I told him I wanted to think about it for a couple days his attitude completly changed and he was being down right rude.. He even said "what? You dont want to do this now or what??" When I left I was nearly in tears because of how stressful the experience was and how much of my time was wasted!! I decided to go to Peak Kia where I got excellent customer service and exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted! More
We were pleased overall with the service of all of the staff at Tynan's. We actually did not plan on coming home with a car that day; we were just researching.
