Terrible experience with service. They worked on our New Ford Explorer in January. They made a temporary repair and ordered a new wiring harness as the original was damaged.(new Explo They worked on our New Ford Explorer in January. They made a temporary repair and ordered a new wiring harness as the original was damaged.(new Explorer) They said it was backordered and would be months to come in. They said they would get a hold of us. I called them in October and asked them the status. I couldn't get anyone from service on the phone for three days! I had to call Ford Corporate to get a call back from service. As it turned out no one wanted to talk to me because the part had not been ordered. Also they said they had gone through several service managers which is a big red flag. Service manager Perez did call (because Ford Corporate required him to) and say their temporary repair was ok and would be considered permanent. I took it to a legitimate dealership (Roanoke Ford near Peoria IL) who recommended a new harness replacement and took care of me right away. Galesburg Ford failed on many levels. I would not buy a bicycle from them. UPDATE: As it turns out Galesburg Ford missed a lot of other damage. It was present in their original photos taken by them so it was NOT done after they originally examined the Explorer. There is air condition damage. Foam insulation damage. To add insult to injury the repair galesburg made that they now say was permanent and sufficient for the life of the vehicle has been found to be substandard and allowing moisture into the repaired area. They failed to address any of the other obvious issues and assured us that the Explorer was put back into new condition. If you see Galesburg Ford in your future please get a new Crystal ball. service dept is terrible! This is not my 1st vehicle I have owned & none of my other vehicles squeaked & made noise everytime you stop the vehicle. Have been told so many diff stories from different people there. I could go on & on about my experience there but I’ll keep it short. The issue still remains & I was told I would get a return phone call from the service manager but have yet to be called 3 weeks later despise the numerous voicemails/txts from have left More
