Hi there, My name is Kenzie, I am the Internet Sales Manager with Ford Lincoln of Franklin. I'm sorry to hear about your experience with our service department. After receiving your review, I tried to do a little bit of investigative work as to what went wrong and how I can help from here. I would first like to explain how the diagnostic process works. When we have a customer with a service request, we are required by Ford to run a diagnostic test to know exactly what the issue is. Otherwise, we are just guessing, and this would turn into a bigger customer service issue than charging the diag fee. After the initial diag test is run, we explain to the customer what the issue is and go over pricing options. If the customer chooses to have the work done, the diag fee is waived and there is no charge. However, if a customer would opt out of having the work done, we still have to pay the technician who performed the test in the first place. From what I understand, we didn't even get the chance to explain this to you before you drove off of our service lane. We value every customer who steps foot, or drives wheel, onto our property and would like to extend an offer to you.
