The service writer did not even look up to acknowledge my arrival until I stood there awkwardly in front of him for a bit before he mumbled, “One of us will help you in a minute.” My vehicle was not serviced arrival until I stood there awkwardly in front of him for a bit before he mumbled, “One of us will help you in a minute.” My vehicle was not serviced until an hour and a half past my appointment time. They did not give it the complimentary car wash they told me would accompany any service done when I checked in. The air filter was removed and visible for me to see its dire need of replacement. A price was quoted, and I asked if they would price match. The service writer said they would, but when I showed him an online price he said they only price match other shops and a written price from the other shop had to be presented. How absurd? Why would anyone spend the time to go to another shop with a better price, request they print their price, and take that written price back to Ford just so they can match it? To make it all the more unbelievable, he then informed me that they’d also charge me labor— to place a new air filter in rather than my old one they had to put back in regardless. More
