First and foremost, Thank You for alerting us to this set of circumstances that occurred here at our store. We have been a family-owned business for 89 years now and we could not have stayed a locally owned and community-centric company without making every effort to provide World-Class Client Service. This story has two unfortunate circumstances that had occurred. The first is the financial institution coming to a different final approval than what was originally written for our client. Thankfully, Ed was able to re-open negotiations between the financial institution and our client to find terms that were extremely close to what was originally written. All parties were grateful for that outcome. The second unfortunate circumstance has to do with our client’s Delayed Down Payment. When a personal check is held for a Delayed Down Payment, a contract is written as such to be deposited on a mutually agreed date. This contract is signed by all parties. This, in turn, results in the check being deposited on the date that was agreed upon and written on said contract. All parties must adhere to this contract; this, of course, includes our company. Our client did request us to not deposit his check, but that request was made the day after the agreed upon deposit date. As was mentioned above, this is an unfortunate and unwanted outcome for both parties. We wish the best to our previous client and wish him and his family all the best. We would also like to extend congratulations on their new vehicle purchase. Ford Country

Ford Country responded

The vehicle was not shipped two days after the purchase was completed because the transportation company didn’t pick up the vehicle. Unfortunately we are at the mercy of a third party when shipping vehicles and times between picking up vehicles and shipping may vary. The price was different because of the transportation charge. We actually refunded both the lien holder AND the customer $500. The customer actually came out ahead on that deal as he was refunded the transportation charge and his balance to finance was reduced by $500 as well. Unfortunately, this transaction didn’t live up to our usual high set of standards. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
