FIRST "SERVICE" EXPERIENCE Monday, January 5, 2015 was my first "service" trip to Ford Country after the purchase of my new 2015 Ford Explorer a few weeks ago. I was told I shou Monday, January 5, 2015 was my first "service" trip to Ford Country after the purchase of my new 2015 Ford Explorer a few weeks ago. I was told I should expect to be waiting at the dealership for about 5 hours (or use the shuttle for a ride home) due to having the windows tinted plus the installation of rear "back-up sensors." My appointment was for 8:00 a.m. Upon arrival at 7:45 a.m. I walked into a completely empty front lobby, not a soul to be found. I walked into the back of the dealership to the Service Dept, where I asked an employee where was I supposed to go to have my car worked on, who was I supposed to see, etc. He pointed to the front and told me to wind around the corridors until I found Brian Minor's office. After wandering around searching, I finally found his office. Mr. Minor told me my windows could be tinted this morning but "all 3 of my guys called in sick this morning so nobody is here to install your rear back-up sensors. You'll have to make another appt. and come in again to have this work done." I was understanding and polite about the inconvenience, however I wasn't happy I cleared my work schedule for 6 hours in order to have all the work done this morning. So now I'd be waiting about 2 hours instead of 5 hours. (I rescheduled all my morning clients, thinking I'd need 5 hours). I asked Mr. Minor to sign for my breakfast in the diner, he readily agreed to appease me for my inconvenience. I rescheduled my rear back-up sensors to be installed the next morning, again at 8:00 a.m. Upon arrival the second morning, I found Mr. Minor in his office, he took my car key and told me it "would be a couple hours." I sat in the front lobby reading until a few hours later... a technician tapped me on the shoulder, held my car key out in front of me, said "here 'ya go" abruptly turning and walking away. I walked into the back Service Dept, asked an employee if he would kindly put my car key back on the ring, I tried for 10 minutes & couldn't get it back on my key ring. I asked him if he knew anything about back-up sensors...that I just had them installed on my new car & didn't quite know how they worked or if there was anything I should be told about them. He picked up the phone, called someone to give me a demonstration on my car. He said they should have showed me how the back-up sensors worked, at least come over and asked if I was satisfied after the work was completed. Nobody did any of that. Soon a tech came over to me, walked me out to my car, showed me where the microphone was installed, showed me where the VOLUME button was located, in case I cared to adjust it at any time. He explained how the beeping changes to a solid beep once I get too close to an object. He handed me my keys and I drove off. I would have appreciated maybe a crack of a smile once or some friendly behavior but no such luck. This isn't a very good start since it's my FIRST experience servicing my new vehicle. I imagine I'll have to come to Ford Country several more times to service my vehicle over the next few years. Hopefully the future visits will improve...maybe meet a few employees that are friendlier, maybe see a few smiles? We wrote a wonderful review about our salesman and our experience when we first purchased our Ford Explorer a few weeks ago. Was hoping our total experience dealing with Ford Country would be as great as our initial experience. If yesterday & today are an example of how my future service visits are going to be, I'll be sadly disappointed. More
HASSLE FREE EXPERIENCE!!! We set out shopping at The Henderson Valley Auto Mall with the intention of purchasing a mid-sized SUV. The dealership wasn't important to us, the rig We set out shopping at The Henderson Valley Auto Mall with the intention of purchasing a mid-sized SUV. The dealership wasn't important to us, the right SUV was our primary goal. After visiting several different auto dealerships, we walked into Ford Country and were met at the entrance of the in-house diner by a salesman named Raul Valles and a dealership manager. They were so genuine & welcoming, smiling as they asked us if we cared to sit down and have lunch there, courtesy of the manager. We chatted for a few minutes and decided the no-pressure salesman was a good personality fit for us so we decided to allow him to show us around the Ford Country car lot. We explained exactly what type of SUV we were looking for, what our requirements were and Mr. Raul Valles took us to the exact models we requested. He suggested we drive the Explorer and explained all the features of the vehicle, the entire time gently making suggestions without the usual hassle one receives from the typical sales pitch. Our experience was pleasurable, easy and took less time than every other purchase we've made in the past. The reason we decided to purchase was because of the polite & nice demeanor of our salesman, the ease of the transaction with the help of a manager who made a super deal for us & the TRUST we felt from our salesman. We believe we were treated with respect by everyone involved. No pressure...just attention to OUR NEEDS. Every single detail concerning how the car ran was explained to us ...our phones were programmed into the system by Mr. Valles, instruction book read in part to us, tons of details pointed out. We left the lot feeling secure about driving the car, knowing how to use it as if we owned it for months. We were served bottles of water, cups of coffee, offered dessert. Virtually anything we wanted, we got. The Finance Manager, Scott Gilmore, was a gem as well. Extremely well spoken, extremely polite. He explained EVERYTHING to us at great length, making sure we understood ALL our options, understanding the contract was a key detail to us. We left his office feeling confident we made the correct decision about out purchase. Mr. Valles was again by our side as we prepared to leave, walking us out to our new vehicle, explaining everything he could think of to make sure we felt at ease & happy with our new Ford Explorer. He has a terrific personality, very nice, smiling the entire time. Very knowledgeable about the vehicles he sells. Never once did we hear "I don't know" when we asked him a zillion questions. This salesman knows his stuff, backwards & forwards! We're used to dealing with Cadillac & Mercedes Dealerships. We like the high-end vehicles & the service we receive from these luxury dealerships. But we'll tell you, we were happy to find that Ford Country out classes these so-called luxury dealerships, by a mile. We were treated like royalty from the time we stepped foot in the door until the time we walked out with keys in hand. We have high expectations that our great experience will continue as we bring our vehicle in for various service appointments, repairs, etc. We look forward to becoming future Ford clients, staying with Ford when it's time to trade in this vehicle, if our run of good luck continues at Ford Country. We couldn't be treated ANY better by any other dealership in town. That's a fact and we're tough customers to please. Thank you, Mr. Valles for your genuine concern for us as customers. The variety of vehicle designs I am very happy with my recent experience at Ford Country! I made the switch, from a used car, to a lease on a new one. The variety of vehicle designs offered by Ford allowed me to find the perfect one for my family and I. The leasing plan that was offered to me actually reduced my monthly payments by about $75, except now I drive a brand new car that will have a full warranty for the full lease term! I no longer am worried about the hassle of resale/trade-in value of a used vehicle when I want to upgrade to an even newer vehicle in two years. The staff was patient and clear when explaining my options (buying or leasing), and in helping me find the vehicle that was just right for me. More
