I have a new 19 jetta and have taken this vehicle to Folsom Volkswagen a few times now and feel so disrespected, disappointed, discriminated against, harassed and just taken advantage of. The first time Folsom Volkswagen a few times now and feel so disrespected, disappointed, discriminated against, harassed and just taken advantage of. The first time was for my 20k service and upon picking the vehicle up I noticed a dent on the passenger front fender as well as my mirror being scratched. However the did offer to fix the dent they denied scratching the mirror. Mind you that my vehicle only had 20k miles at the time and had no previous damages (I deeply inspect my vehicle every time I wash it and know of every scratch and ding there is) dent was fixed but the mirror was not he last time I brought the vehicle in was for it’s 3rd service to be done and once I brought the car in I was greeted by the regular service advisor I’ve dealt with but everything was very unclear. A form was laid out in front of me with 3 options of service ranging from $300-$700 and I assumed the cheapest one was regular servicing and the higher priced were recommendations. Nothing was explained to me about what exactly would be done on my car and I had no idea there was a difference from an oil change and regular service as in the last they have used both terms when describing what’s going to be done. I left there with only one form stating a 30k service and tire pressure check but nothing else. I looked online and found out a service from them should only be $153 and some change. I emailed the advisor to stop repairs and only do the oil change nothing else. I would have called but it was a very busy morning at work for me. He did not respond until about 5 hours later saying the repairs were already about to be finished and sent me a copy of the $300 service. The major charge was a brake fluid exchange which it states should be done every 2 years regardless of mileage. Mind you this is a 2019 vehicle and we are barely in the first month of 2020. Why would they be doing this service if it is not time to do so. I questioned the advisor on the phone because he had called approximately 15 minutes after the email was sent to me and he just laughed when I questioned him. He told me I’m not reading correctly so I read word for word what was on the page he emailed me which clearly states 2 years (regardless of mileage) so does this not mean no matter what my mileage is that every 2 years I need my brake fluid exchanged? Because what I get from that is even if the car had 10 miles on it that the fluid should be changed on the vehicle in December of 2020 the earliest as I’ve had the vehicle since December of 2018 which means I’ve owned the vehicle two years hence the “every 2 years”. Again he just laughed and said he spoke to my manager and they will no longer assist me in any way ever again without giving me any explanation as to why I am now “banned” from getting service done at this location as the advisor said and repeated over and over which made me feel pressured, bullied, and harassed into accepting this unfortunate, undefined, unreasonable outcome. The only good thing that came out of this is that I only paid what should have been done to the car which was a basic service/oil change and I paid for fuel additives they put in the fuel system which I did not even know was going to be done and if so I surely would have opted out on that part since I only run premium gas with Techron which is an additive and cleanser itself. I am just purely ashamed to have even been seen at this dealership as it is a sorry excuse for a business. The Whole service office is smaller than a living room in a 1 bedroom apartment. The sales room is just sad and makes you depressed and feel sorry for the location for even attempting to be decent it’s literally comparable to the worst motel 6 you can thing of. There is just a huge empty pool like structure in the front that’s filled with dirt, grime, and a whole bunch of just green substance. Clearly seems like a health violation or something. I do not recommend this location what so ever unless you like being taken advantage of, abused, bullied, and harassed. More
MK7 GTI Purchase Bought a 2017 GTI and in signing paperwork I noticed after them agreeing to include a free part that they tacked the price on to the overall cost whil Bought a 2017 GTI and in signing paperwork I noticed after them agreeing to include a free part that they tacked the price on to the overall cost while showing it being negated in the final price quote. Ultimately, they charged me for what they said would be free. I had no proof at the time of purchase to argue. Be sure to write down the numbers they give as you're making a deal so you know whats being charged in the end. Some simple math goes a long way in saving several hundred dollars. Sales rep was sleazy. Will not revisit for future purchases. More

The best car for our needs determined by great sales help! 9 hours after we got news that my husband’s 2006 VW Jetta's repair with 178K miles would cost more than its value, we drove off the lot with a new VW 9 hours after we got news that my husband’s 2006 VW Jetta's repair with 178K miles would cost more than its value, we drove off the lot with a new VW Golf. Wow, what a crazy day! Fabulous no-pressure Toney Woods from Folsom Lake VW made a very "painful" day bearable! He truly helped my husband decide on the right car for my husband’s needs! We really didn’t know what to buy: ie: SUV/4wheel drive, etc; but Toney was so helpful and really listened to how we would use this vehicle! This is our 3rd VW since 1984 and this location in Folsom treated us well. More

Intimidation Tactics to sell broken cars Buyers beware, Folsom Volkswagen I would give you less than one star if I could. Never had such dishonesty. They tried multiple time to push something Buyers beware, Folsom Volkswagen I would give you less than one star if I could. Never had such dishonesty. They tried multiple time to push something through and lie about it, unfortunately for me I still bought their used car. These folks wouldn't even let me go to the bank and get a cashier's check myself, they sent the sales guy with me. I should have known there was something wrong with that. Now I know it was because they were not going to let me out of their sight until I bought their broken vehicle. They would have never done this to a male, but as a female alone buying a car, I guess they know their intimidation tactics work. So much for their inspection to make sure vehicles are in good running condition. Started breaking down one day off the lot. Six days into buying it, it had to go to the dealership for repairs for well over $1000. Buyers they are not honest and will do nothing to make sure you are completely satisfied. The dealership I took it to for repairs even agreed, worst car buying experience ever. At least other dealerships guarantee their car inspections for 30 days!! More
Dishonest I don’t want to put too much into this but they are totally lying to your face at this dealership. The service department will treat you like a king I don’t want to put too much into this but they are totally lying to your face at this dealership. The service department will treat you like a king but I swear to god they are take old parts and throwing it on your car and saying you have a problem. Don’t make the mistake of buying any tires at this store. They have their own warranty and won’t back it up. It is the culture of corruption that runs through the brand straight to the dealership. It’s too bad really because I like their cars but I can’t stand the way I get treated. I’ll be writing a not so nice letter to Volkswagen of America for their brazen false advertising. More
